IIM Calcutta’s MBAEx Programme secures Rank 42 in Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2020

The institute jumps 7 places in the overall ranking this year compared to 49th rank in 2019. The institute has been ranked third in India among the four Indian B-Schools listed in the rankings.

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has secured 42nd rank globally, as part of the Financial Times (FT) Global MBA Ranking 2020 released recently for its MBAEx Programme. Advancing by 7 ranks this year, the institute has been ranked third in India among the four Indian B-Schools listed in the rankings. This elevation in the ranking is a reflection of the quality of the MBA Programme provided by the Institute, along with several other factors including salaries earned, employment opportunities post-completion, research capabilities, alumni recommendation, and value for money to name a few. 

Among the parameters that the ranking was focused on, IIM Calcutta did better than its nearest Indian competitors on categories like value for money, career progress, female student percentage, inclusion of international board members and number of female faculty as part of the programme. 

Commenting on the ranking, Professor Anju Seth, Director, IIM Calcutta said, “This ranking is a reiteration of the quality we stand for at IIM Calcutta. Our team of faculty always strive for the best results and the FT Ranking for the MBAEx Programme is a reflection of that.
