George Brown College Admissions 2025: Application Deadline, Requirements & Costs

Yes, George Brown College accepts if the applicant has six backlogs in a 3-year degree and eight backlogs in a 4-year degree. However, it  will not accept study gaps of 5 years or more.The Canadian Immigration rejects student Visa Applications with a study gap of more than five years in the past.However students with a GAP year of 2- 4 years can show their portfolios and profiles showcasing their talent to get into the university. 

There is no specific deadline for submitting your application.However equal consideration date is Feb 1, 2024. The programme will close automatically once it is filled. Since seats are fairly competitive, George Brown College strongly recommends students to apply well in advance. The University is currently accepting applications.

 The admission requirements for the certificate programme in Blockchain Development are as follows:

• Two or three-year Diploma or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer Science or a related field

• Minimum overall of 60% in10 and 12 Class for all streams

• Minimum overall of 50% in English in 10 and 12 Class

• Notarized mark sheets of 10 and 12 Class

• Proof of proficiency in the English language

George Brown College is a public college. Therefore, tuition fees for domestic and international students may vary. A certificate programme in Blockchain Development will cost an international student CAD 17,575 for the total cost. It is a 1-year long programme consisting of 3 semesters. The tuition fee mentioned above is for the 2023/24 academic year. Additionally, semester 3 will consist of a flat fee of CAD 500 for co-op placement or for work-integrated projects, which is not included in the total fees.

The admission requirements for international applicants are on the basis of their academic achievement, including the required courses. Minimum admission requirements are:

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

• 70% or higher in English in grade 12 English

• 60% or higher in grade 11 Math

• 70% or higher in grade 11 Biology

• 60% or higher in grade 11 Chemistry or Physics or grade 12 Chemistry or Physics

The Advanced Diploma in Dental Hygiene for an international student will cost CAD 35,450. The tuition fee mentioned above is an estimated total tuition fee for the 2023/24 academic year. It is a full-time 3 years long course consisting of 6 semesters. The tuition fees are subject to board approval and subject to change without notice. This course by George Brown College is offered at its Waterfront campus.

 International students must meet the academic requirements for the Graduate Certificate programme in Information Systems Business Analysis at George Brown College. The admission requirements are:

• Two-year or three-year college Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Commerce, Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Minimum one year of relevant work experience

• Resume
