Sheridan College was founded in 1967 as a local college where it first had around 400 students on campus to around 40,000 students currently. The university also campuses in multiple locations in Ontario such as Oakville, Brampton, and Mississauga. Sheridan College History
Sheridan College was first founded on Sep 18, 1967 with a small campus located that had around 380 students, 32 teachers, and 17 degree programs. After being established, the School of Graphic Design was started in 1970 and is located in Brampton, Ontario. The Brampton campus was later moved to another campus located in Oakville, Ontario.
Between the 1960s and early 1970s, the Canadian Animation Industry had been formed by a group of creative companies. During 2012, the president of the college Dr Jeff Zabudsky had announced that the college should gain university status by 2020. By the year 2018, Sheridan College had opened a new campus located in Brampton which was in partnership with Ryerson University.
