Career as Human Resources Manager
The size of an organization as well as its professional atmosphere determines the number and quality of specialists involved in the Human Resource Development (HRD) function. A typical full fledged HR department may be headed by a Director of Personnel/Vice President HR, with other Managers taking care of recruitment's, training (staff/management), resource development. There are two critical issues which HR function demands - 
  • Individual development to provide the organization with skilled workforce for all levels, from operatives to management
  • Secondly, devising suitable training programs for transference and development of individual skills to suit changes in working patterns
The job involves: 
  • Structuring procedures for recruitment
  • Training, placement
  • Promotions and movements within the industry
  • HRD is also committed to employee services for matters concerning health, work related facilities, welfare services, etc

Clock work

Managers spend a significant amount of time: 
  • Answering questions, attending budget meetings and in strategic planning sessions.
  • Interviewing prospective employees
  • Doing paperwork and talking on the telephone with service providers for financial matters, insurance and health care
  • Coordinating with media department for placing advertisements for job positions
