- Study chemistry of fermentation and maturation, and the outcome of using different brewing processes
- Create recipes for producing beers of a variety of styles to suit different regions
- Experiment with different blends
- Supervise and carry out the brewing task with great care and accuracy
- Check acidity and alkalinity level in water and test water purity
- Calculate the predicted yield, alcohol volume etc.
- Oversee the bottling process
