Financial analysts work in the following areas:
  • Corporate Finance - The tasks relate to conceptual and technical inputs in the areas of Indian Financial System, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Management, Advanced Financial Management and International Financial Management.
  • Investment Management - The job involves analysis with inputs from Economics, Quantitative techniques, Economic Legislation which is required by the Securities industry, Security evaluation and Investment Management.
  • Financial Services - In this role they undertake Project Planning, Venture Capital, Leasing, Hire Purchase, Factoring, New Issue Management, Credit Rating and other allied areas.

**MBAs, CAs, M.Com's, ICWAs are exempted from the initial foundation module of the course. The course includes a foundation, preliminary, inter, and final module and is conducted in the English medium.

***The CFA admission test is an aptitude test for professional studies in financial analysis. It focuses primarily on verbal and quantitative reasoning abilities. The program has been recognized by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) as equivalent to Master's Degree for admission to Ph.D Program in Management. The CFA course can be done as a distance education course with the facility of contact course at major cities in the country. CFA program can also be done as a regular course on the campus.
