No, it is not mandatory to mention the father's name in CBSE Board registration if the father is deceased or not involved. In such cases, the name of the mother or legal guardian can be provided as per CBSE guidelines. When filling out the registration forms, CBSE generally requires the details of either the father, mother, or legal guardian. If your father is no more, you can provide your mother's name or that of your guardian in the appropriate field. Ensure to inform your school about the situation, as they handle the submission process and can guide you on the necessary documentation.

At SASTRA Deemed University, admission to the B.Tech programs, including Electronics and Communication (EC) and Information Technology (IT), is based on a combined score of 75% weightage from your Class 12 marks and 25% from your JEE Main score. With your 82.4% in Class 12 and an 80.99 percentile in JEE Main, your combined score would be around 82.05, which is a competitive score. While SASTRA does not have a fixed cutoff, this score increases your chances of getting admission to EC or IT, as these branches tend to have relatively high demand. For detailed information, it's best to check the official SASTRA admissions page.
