Y. Patil Dental College and Hospital. A candidate of the Open Category must have received at least 50% (150 out of 300) in the combined Physics, Chemistry, and Biology sections of the HSC (or equivalent) Exam. Applicants who claim any disability must have scored at least 40% (or 120 out of 300) in the combined Physics, Chemistry, and Biology section of the HSC (or equivalent) exam.

Students who wish to enroll in Dr. D. Y. Patil College must qualify the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET). To apply for the BDS and Diploma in Dental Mechanics, students must complete an online admission process administered by the college. In order to be admitted to the BDS programme, students must be eligible for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). A recognised university's Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree is a prerequisite for admission to the MDS programme, as is passing the National Eligibility and Entrance Test for MDS (NEET-MDS). Additionally, the applicant for the PhD programmes needs to have finished a postgraduate degree from a university with accreditation. Admissions will be made through the Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune-conducted All India Common Entrance Exam.
