The cutoffs are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in AIIMS Rishikesh - All India Institute of Medical Sciences is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam NEET. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

In 2021, the closing rank for medical courses. under the general category for all India quota was 367300. In 2022, it decreased to 569. Likewise, the cut-off ranks have changed from 591868 to 1162 for OBC, 367300 to 62266 for ST, 367300 to 1140 for EWS, and 367300 to 216506 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for medical education in India continues to grow.

There is least chance of NExT exam to be held in 2024. As per recent updates, the exam will be held in August 2025 for 2020 batch final year MBBS students. Earlier, NMC announced the national exit test will be held in 2028 for the first time for 2023-24 batch MBBS students. According to National Exit Test Regulations the exam will be held twice a year. AIIMS will be conducting exam in two steps, one theory based and another practical. MBBS students will have to qualify NExT Step 1 to appear for internship. Those who qualify NExT Step 1 can appear for NExT Step 2. Candidates will have to score minimum 50% marks or half of the maximum possible raw scores in each six papers to qualify for NExT Step 1.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at AIIMS Rishikesh - All India Institute of Medical Sciences other than General category are - 2941 for OBC, 12692 for SC, 22265 for ST, 1749 for EWS and 183993 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in NEET exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State.
