All institutions have its own advantages as well as disadvantages whether its AIIMS or state colleges. These advantages and disadvantages are based on different aspects of people. MBBS is a course which u all may know where a full life is not sufficient to learn it entirely. Advantages of studying in AIIMS over state colleges
1 The institute name itself
2. PULSE AIIMS Delhi - The topmost festival in Medical institutions
3. More time to prepare for your PG during the internship days. More chances for u to get PG in AIIMS itself
4. Post internship if your financial status is bad and u don't wish to do PG immediately, u can get non academic PG post in your AIIMS for 18 months with a mouthwatering salary of 90 KAS of 2020
5. The farthest away from your home, the more freedom u will get. Also there won't be any neighbours from your home town who calls u to take some appointment for them. I been from a state medical college was initially happy to take these appointments but gradually as the cases increased I was annoyed. Advantages of state colleges
1. Internship - U will get better internship than AIIMS. And if u ask me who will be more efficient in managing an emergency case or a Casualty, I would go with those graduated from state colleges.
2. Intermedicos (Medicos festival in our state) and more frequent arts and sports festivals where u have much more competition for your talent to be shown!
3. Being the closest to home, u can often visit your parents, u can attend family and functions more easily. U can be in great touch with your school friends. The patients won't ask for your college, but will surely look at your attitude towards them. So u should try to build good attitude, try to educate patients and their relatives about their disease and try to reduce the patient - doctor communication gap in these years which will benefit u to get not tortured by the patients relatives especially in a country like India and more patients will come to u! The advantages to study in a merit seat compared to those in private medical colleges and those from foriegn countries is that u will have more competitions from your batchmates to get PG seats which will ultimately aid u which is the most important for us as MBBS is nothing but qualification for Postgraduation. Whether u are a doctor, engineer, IT professional, Businessman, it's the attitude and desire of u that will make the best in the job.

Candidate must have secured at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination.
Just do the calculation of 60%from total marks of exams.

Apart from private colleges, government colleges also offer Non-Residential Indian NRI quota seats that go to candidates with large reserves of dollars and who cross the NEET qualifying score even if it is with very low individual marks. While Indian policy of reserving seats for historically marginalized communities such as the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes has been blamed for diluting MIRIT in medical education, an overview of the NRI quota admission in 2020 shows that many students who barely made the NEET cut-off list were able to pay their way into MBBS seats without any stigma. Congratulations for your score and obviously the ball is in your court you can easily get government college for MBBS. Now the work for you is to apply for counseling and choice filing and you are good to go. Hope so you got your answer. If you like please upvote the answer.
