The mess food at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) is a mixed bag. Some students find it to be quite good, while others find it to be quite bland. The food is mostly vegetarian, and there is a limited selection of non-vegetarian options. The food is also cooked in a Tamilian style, which may not be to everyone's taste. Here are some of the pros and cons of the mess food at AIMS:*Pros:** The food is generally healthy and nutritious.* There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including both South Indian and North Indian food.* The food is cooked fresh every day.* The mess is clean and well-maintained. *Cons:** The food can be bland for some people.* The portions are small.* The food can be repetitive.* There is a lack of variety in the non-vegetarian options. Overall, the mess food at AIMS is not bad, but it is not great either. It is certainly possible to find worse food in other colleges, but there are also better options available. If you are a vegetarian and you are not too picky about your food, then you will probably be fine with the mess food at AIMS. However, if you are a non-vegetarian or if you have a strong preference for spicy food, then you may want to consider bringing your own food to college. Here are some tips for dealing with the mess food at AIMS: * Bring your own snacks and drinks to college.* Experiment with different dishes to see what you like.* Talk to your friends and roommates about their favorite dishes.* If you are not happy with the food, talk to the mess staff. They may be able to make some changes to accommodate your preferences.

They are pretty strict. My cousin passed out from there and she hated the place. Her stories of how crude they were with their students were pretty mind boggling. Ofcourse, things got better for her as days went by but she said she would have preferred a ‘normal’ institute to Amrita any day. There were some forced compulsory practices carried out there too. Senior year won’t be so bad but I’ve heard stories and I won’t dream of going there.
