Amrita University is a multi-disciplinary private institution, located across five campuses (Coimbatore, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Kochi, Mysore) in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. A young university, it was founded in 2003. In its sixth year, it became the youngest institution to be credited ‘A’ by the National Assessment Accreditation Council, India’s higher education institution assessment body – which requires an institution to have been in operation for a minimum of five years. At 900 acres and eight million square feet built-up space, Amrita is India’s the largest private institution. Its 18,000 students are overseen by over 1,700 faculty. Its main Coimbatore campus in Tamil Nadu sprawls over 400 acres and is often likened to an “oasis in a desert”. Tree-planting and forestation activities have altered barren land into a lush learning environment. Its eight student hostels accommodate over 3,500 people, with students expected to stay there for the duration of their course. Sports facilities are plentiful on campus with the focal point being the 22,000 square metres of sports field and Olympic standard swimming pool.Ranking of Amrita School of Engineering -801–1000thWorld University Rankings 2024=52ndImpact Rankings 2023201–250thYoung University Rankings 2022

First of all, you should familarize with the college campus and the atmosphere over there. Then the next thing you can, is to connect and mingle with seniors and before all, the teachers and faculties. There will be an orientation programme for atleast a week after the beginning of the course where they won't teach anything, but we can utilise that time for familarising with everyone and everything over the campus. It is so crucial to take care of ourselves as a college life can be demanding. We can have nutritious food, exercise daily and also have a sufficient sleep. Don't forget to keep track of the assignments, works, homework, and other activities given to be done. And at last, enjoy the experience as college life is a time of growth, to make good friends, and to create memories that might last for a life time.
