College is pretty good if you focus on your studies and you can enjoy the college life.
Placements: The placements are pretty good; around 75% of students got placed. The highest package offered was 30 LPA, and the average is around 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments and Honeywell. The roles offered are design engineer, communication engineer, and system analyst.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are good, with 24/7 Wi-Fi routers inside the hostel, and labs are well-equipped with good instruments and equipment. The library is very large, with good resources in every field of study. The food in the hostels can be improved; the same menu is followed every day.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified with PhDs and have pretty good knowledge. The curriculum is well-set for the students to prepare for their exams and tests well in advance. The semester exams are a bit difficult, but if you concentrate in every class and work on a daily basis, it's an easy job for you. The pass percentage is around 45/100.
Other: The college organizes two major fests each year: the cultural fest known as Gokulashtami and the technical fest known as Anokha. The college is more happening and fun during the fests.

Our college had a good infrastructure with minimum strength during my course duration.
Placements: In the CCE course, from 4th year, almost 50% of students get placed. The strength of the course is 65 members, but now 2024 admissions have increased hugely. In CCE, they offer more communication courses. Till now, from CCE the highest salary package offered was 41 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 10 LPA - 11 LPA. The lowest salary package offered in CCE was 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Facilties provided in our hostels are good. The newly built hostels are so good, but in terms of food, we need to adjust a lot. The food they serve is very spicy and non-vegetarian also in the mess. They started a non-vegetarian mess recently, and I don't like it at all. Wi-Fi has restrictions on games and some of the other apps like Hotstar.
Faculty: All the faculty members in our college are well-trained. They explain simply super. In the first year, faculty members are different from their respective subjects but in the second year, the core faculty will come and they explain excellently. The explanation of each faculty member is very good.
Other: In comparison to my course duration, the number of admissions has increased highly. The infrastructure and faculty members are awesome.

Want to know about Amrita Coimbatore campus review this.
Placements: Nice placement drives are offered for mass recruitment as well as merit recruitment, with an offered 56,00,000. The average package for students is 12,00,000, and around 95% of the students are placed. There are nice placement drives, and you can give interviews in your 6th semester.
Infrastructure: You will be provided with Wi-Fi and labs, and they have one of the biggest libraries in Asia. There will be canteens available, with frequent food running. However, they can improve the food; you might find some trouble while eating food in the mess, as it is not excellent.
Faculty: The exam papers are a bit difficult, and correction is also a bit hard. The faculty is quite good, serving the updated curriculum required for the future. The teachers here hold M.Sc. and Ph.D. certificates, and they are quite interactive and helpful.
Other: There will be many clubs, flash mobs, DJ nights, fests, and food fests, as well as sports clubs.

AI branch is good. The students should know the basics of Maths.
Placements: 80% were placed in AI. Average package is more approximately 12 LPA. 70% of students got internships. The highest package is 45 LPA. companies related to AI are fewer, but software companies are offering more packages here. Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, and many companies were there .
Infrastructure: Hostels for the freshers are good but for seniors, not that good. Network signals are bad. Wi-Fi is available but can't access every app. The food is average; we have to adjust. There is a library where every general paper we can access from there. Classrooms are good.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Many of them have PhD's, but work is more. Curriculum is a bit hard. Less time to explore. We don't have semester exams; only midterms and projects were there. Presentations and quizzes will evaluate students.
Other: I don't know which course to choose based on my family interest in this college I joined on this campus. No need to improve the course but reduce the class timings.

To have peaceful learning life, you can join here.
Placements: Placements are very good on the campus. But for core companies, the placement is very low. Around 1/4 of students are also not placed. But IT placements are very good on campus. In our batch, all got the internship opportunities at a very big company L&T.
Infrastructure: Hostel is very good. They provide good food compared to other colleges. But they provide only veggies in the mess. Now non-veg is introduced inside the campus from 2024, only in the main canteen. Taste-wise, it's very good and hygienic. We have medical clinics that are free for all and we only need to pay for tablets. Basic needs like physical departments and gyms are available separately.
Faculty: For every four years, based on the students feedback and modern updates, the curriculum is changed accordingly. New courses are added/updated as per the modern needs. All the teachers are very well knowledgeable and experienced. Most of them are PhD holders. Coming to the exam, it will be moderate but correction will be strictly done.
Other: The college organizes cultural festivals and functions on a regular basis. Gokulastami and Anokha are celebrated in a big way. Food stalls from outside hotels are brought inside the campus every two months. Inter and intra college/department/team sports activities are conducted every three to four months.

Faculty members have knowledge, but we are not completely satisfied with their teaching.
Placements: Only 30% of the students of this course are placed in 2024. PWC, IBM, and Bosch are the companies where more students were recruited. Flipkart and Amazon provided a high-salary package of 17 LPA each. Mostly IT jobs were offered for our course. Fewer placements.
Infrastructure: Good classrooms with decent seating facilities. Below-average internet connection. Hostel rooms are decent, but restrooms are not good. Good medical facilities. Hostel food is poor in quality. Importance is given to sports and cultural events with freedom.
Faculty: Teachers have knowledge of the subject, but their teaching skills are poor. Their behavior with students is poor. Too much favoritism is shown for their known students. Very boring teaching style and no creativity. Too many assignments and exams.

* Vibrant Campus Life: The campus is active with numerous student clubs, events, and initiatives, providing opportunities for extracurricular activities and personal development.

Weaknesses:

* Fees: Compared to some other engineering colleges in India, Amrita's fees are on the higher side, which might be a factor for some students.

* Strict Discipline: The campus has a reputation for stricter rules and regulations compared to other colleges, which might not suit everyone.

* Location: Although Coimbatore is a vibrant city, it might not be everyone's preferred location compared to bigger metros like Delhi or Bangalore.

To decide if Amrita is right for you:

* Compare it to other colleges: Consider institutions of similar rank, specialisations offered, fees, and locations.

* Prioritize your needs: Think about what's most important to you in a B.Tech program, like academics, placements, facilities, or campus life.

* Research student reviews: Check online platforms and forums for student opinions and experiences at Amrita to get a deeper understanding.

Ultimately, the decision of whether Amrita School of Engineering is good for you is a personal one. Weigh the pros and cons carefully, and consider your own priorities and preferences to make an informed choice.

I hope this information helps you in your decision-making process!

Q:   What is the minimum cutoff for B.Tech at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore?

A:

Securing admission to Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, in the Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) programme for the General category typically requires meeting the minimum cutoff. The cutoff for the AEEE (Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering) in 2023 was set at 1500 for this category.

It's crucial to note that cutoff scores can vary annually due to factors like the number of applicants, exam difficulty, and available seats. Therefore, it's advisable to refer to the most recent information provided by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for the current academic session.

If your JEE Main score is 70%, it's essential to understand that AEEE scores are the primary consideration for admissions at Amrita School of Engineering. While JEE Main scores might be considered, they may not be the sole determining factor. Given the 1500 cutoff for the ECE programme in the AEEE 2023, it's advisable to prepare thoroughly for this exam and aim for a competitive score to enhance your chances of admission.

Additionally, maintaining a strong academic record in Class 12 or its equivalent and showcasing any relevant extracurricular achievements could further strengthen your application. Keep in mind that the admission process may also involve counseling sessions or interviews, and being well-prepared for these aspects can positively impact your overall evaluation.

To ensure accurate and updated information, regularly check the official website of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham or contact the admissions office for any specific details regarding the cutoffs and admission criteria for the academic session you are applying for.
