For admissions to four-year UG Fashion and Apparel Design programme, candidates should have passed Class XII with at least 35% aggregate marks from a recognised board. Candidates who pass Class XII through open school or distance education system are not eligible for AIFD admissions. It is to be noted that only children of Army personnel or ex- Army personnel can register for AIFD exam.Only such candidates who meet the prescrived criteria must apply. If the candidate doesn't meet the criteria, his or her applications may be cancelled.

The admit cards for AIFT exam will be released a few days before the exam. On exam-day, candidates need to bring with them the admit card and a valid photo id proof.
