There are 2 ways to join Indian Army after graduation. Combined Defense Services CDS conducted by UPSC. Through CDS Successive candidates get Permanent Commissioning and are trained at IMA, Dehradun.
2. Short Service Commission SSC conducted by Services Selection Board (SSB)
Selection for short service commission is through the Services Selection Board (SSB) and there is no written exam for this entry as on date. The candidates are shortlisted for SSB interview based on the basis of cut off percentage applied on marks obtained by the candidates up to 6th Semester. Courses are conducted at OTA, Chennai twice every year in the Months of April and October. You can opt for SSC (Tech.). If you want to join in your core stream or you can opt for SSC (Non-tech.).
Keep looking at the army website Join Indian Army under the Officer's Selection category. It is advertised through the employment news as-well.

Cutoff varies according to students. Usually, up to merit no. 600 gets the admission that is up to rank 1.15 lakhs.

Both are good colleges though if you get computers at AIT surely go for it. Also, do compare the colleges with Shiksha to have a better prospect.
