One of the HR faculty members has worked as VP-HR in a leading hospitality company. Competencies of students are built through a series of case studies drawn from Harvard Business School Press. In India, there are only a few institutions having a license to use cases of Harvard Business School. Industry seminars on HR issues is a regular feature at Apeejay School of Management. Above are good for sales mainly. Xavearian group colleges are best for HR (Xiss, Xime blore, XiB, Xime Kochi) etc. If you have healthy score card try there first. In our Delhi ncr based so called reputed college HR guys were given hardcore sales profile due to not availability of profile. Hr profiles are not widely available in market now a days, as many it is not so called profit making part of the organisation and corporates are eager to make cost cutting concept so many mnc make contract with HR firm (like ranstad india)for their HR part solution. So before admission in tier II level college check the HR guys are given in which profile. You can directly mail the placement officer or corporate resource officer of the college.

4. Now, Students compare Finance and HR with Marketing whereas, at least 20-40 people are there working for any small or medium org. in marketing. Hence, vacancies would be high.
5. So, it all depends on the number of seats availability: number of students: market/organization .

I think I can answer your question dear. I see you in the exact same situation, I was a year ago. Do not worry, I will help you.
1) PGDM:
- Approved by AICTE.
- Autonomous Body (self-funded).
- Self-Prepared syllabus and course structure as per corporate demand.
- Much of practical exposure and theoretical knowledge as per corporates.
- As it is autonomous, competition is high among colleges. So quality and delivery is the main focus. Just like pvt. banks vs. govt. banks.
- Exams can be re-appeared as missed due to interviews
- Colleges provide you ample number of companies in summer internship and final placements.
- PDGM is preferred over MBA due to it's flexibility, ready-to-work in corporate culture and promises better job opportunities.
-Placement rates are high as compared to MBA.
2) MBA:
- Approved by Universities (UGC).
- Funded by State/Central/Universities.
- Syllabus prepared by Universities and revised at a gap of intervals.
- Focus of fundamentals of theories and old school methods.
- As it is run by Universities, it works generally like any typical Sarkari College and they do not have fear of competition. So, quality depends upon your luck and college you are going into.
- No flexible exam re-appear process, follows University circular.
- No university college cares about your placements unless you have a top university college or a brand
- MBA is preferred over PGDM as gives you Degree that enbles you for higher studies like Ph.D.
- Placement rates depends upon your college/university Goodwill as well Brand.
Suggestion:
ABS is great choice among price band of 7 lakhs in Delhi-NCR. Also it ranks well mainly because of placements and exposure it provides.
Plus point, additional 4-5 Diplomas will only increase the weight of your CV.
