Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Batch of 2026

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty.
Placements: In my chosen course, Bachelor of Arts (B.A. .), there are approximately 70 to 80% students placed. According to views, the current salary of recent graduates is generally lower than the current salary of students who graduated in previous batches. Maximum salary refers to the 80th percentile and median salary refers to the 50th percentile.
Infrastructure: The quality of classrooms, labs, libraries, auditoriums, football fields, gardens, and waiting areas is good enough. The canteen is provided with good foods. The college has medical facilities and so many sports are available with good guidance from the coach.
Faculty: Teachers are very friendly and helpful and kind to every student. They are highly qualified and knowledgeable, serving the best quality of teaching. Exams are not very difficult and it depends on your study. One other subject named co-curriculum is also provided .
Other: B.A. is a course for entering the teaching field and teaching jobs in government and private .

Good college for degree.
Placements: Elements HR was the major recruiter of my batch. Average package was of 2-3 Lacs p. a for the B.Com graduate fresher. There was no internship criteria in B.Com course in my batch. Top roles which were offered were of HR, for BPOs also students were selected.
Infrastructure: There are appropriate classrooms and infrastructure available for the students. Facilities such as labs, Library, are well furnished. As it is one of the oldest buildings of Lucknow, which upholds the historical beauty of Lucknow as well. The campus is beautiful.
Faculty: The faculty of Isabella Thoburn College is very supportive and well educated. The lectures are taught on regular basis which in turn help the students to gain knowledge and score well in the examinations. Proper guidance is being provided by the teachers.
Other: I belonged to commerce background. Choosing B.Com as my graduation course was indeed an easy task because I wanted to take further my studies in Commerce only.

Not really satisfied because of no placements.
Placements: There are no significant placement opportunities, and no internships are offered. The placement infrastructure is lacking, with no roles or opportunities for internships provided by the college. Being a government college, the expectations should be managed accordingly.
Infrastructure: The library is good and spacious, containing helpful books. However, the classrooms are not visually appealing and lack modern facilities. There are no hostel facilities available, but the food in the canteen is nice, offering great options every day. Sports activities are available, and the NSS and NCC programs are well-regarded.
Faculty: The teachers are very nice and helpful, with good teaching quality as they explain everything in detail. The course curriculum is relevant and aligns well with what we studied in classes 11 and 12, aiding in a solid foundation. However, the exams are quite difficult.
Other: Events take place regularly, but due to the infrastructure limitations, they are not as impressive as they could be.

Extracurricular activities abode in this college.
Placements: The college does not offer placements or internships to the students. Students have to find opportunities on their own. There is a placement cell as per the college brochure, but the placement opportunities are provided at least for B.A students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is developing as a good auditorium and a basketball court are being provided. Many classrooms are available. A good library is available for the students to gain a plethora of knowledge. It has a wide variety of books to read. The campus has a parking stand for students to park their vehicles.
Faculty: The faculty are very helpful and knowledgeable. Our college follows the course curriculum designed by Lucknow University. The faculty members for economics are very renowned and experienced in their field. The course curriculum should be revised and made equal as that of the universities like DU.
Other: The college conducts many extracurricular activities during the famous annual cultural fest called Nazran-e-Avadh.

Satisfied because the teachers are helpful.
Placements: 40% of students secured job opportunities. The highest package offered was ?6LPA, the lowest was ?1LPA. The average package?3LPA. Our college witnessed recruitment from TVS, Vivo, etc.
Students were recruited for roles such as IPS, Manager, Receptionist, HR etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but not extraordinary, you will get Air conditioned only in Library, will get fans in classroom, classrooms are so spacious so you would not get proper sitting arrangements, the food in the canteen is average not so delicious and money worthy.
Faculty: Teachers are Ph.D. qualified, educated, knowledgeable and helpful. Course is helpful for students who are preparing for government exams like UPSC SSC cgl or even for railways
Exams are moderate tough, you don't really need to work that hard but you will have to study to pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course because I was preparing for UPSC
I don't wish for any improvement
Everything is good for studious students .

I won't recommend this college if you want a good college life.
Placements: Our college didn't provided any kind of placement assistance to the students. No internship assistance was provided by the college staff. Students have not informed anything about companies visiting the college. They just complete your course and leave you.
Infrastructure: The classrooms were too hot in summer. There was only a small room for any kind of get-together. Only basketball was available in the sports category. The library was good and big. Though copies of the books were not available. No Wi-Fi was provided. We had a small canteen providing basic 3-4 dishes along with tea and coffee.
Faculty: Things were not good here. Teachers only read from the book that's it. But one-fourth of the teachers were good, as per our course. Exams were normal, and not too tough. The passing percentage was almost 50%. There was only robo teaching.
Other: There was no campus life here. They don't let you leave the campus before 12-noon even if all your classes get over by 10 am.
