Eligibility for Admission to B. Borooah College Commerce CourseThe eligibility criteria under which an applicant shall be eligible to take admission to the B.Com course at B. Borooah College include the following: Completion of 10 + 2 class schooling with any board and getting at least an aggregate of 50% will be required for admission to the B.Com degree course. In addition to this, a candidate should also have studied Commerce as one of the subjects in 10+2.Since you mentioned scoring 60 percent in Class 10, this score alone does not make you eligible for admission in B.Com course. You will then have to complete your Class 12 (10+2) education, attaining at least a 50% aggregate and having Commerce as one of your subjects. Therefore, you are not entitled to admission to a commerce course at B. Borooah College on the basis of just your Class 10 score of 60% alone.

The minimum marks needed to get a seat in the Geography Honours course in B. Borooah College would be on the basis of cutoff that year. The cutoff, of course, is on a yearly basis. In this regard, the factors involved would be the number of applicants and overall performance in the qualifying exams. Usually, a high percentage in Class 12- that is, about 60-75%- might suffice to get a seat. For the proper cutoff, the best method would be to check it at the B. Borooah College website or directly contact their admission department to get an update of eligibility and cut-off marks.

{Source: B.A. students & alumni}Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what emerges:Pros:* Good faculty: Many students praised the teachers' qualifications, knowledge, and helpfulness.* Comfortable environment: The college has a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere, with spacious classrooms.* Library and facilities: While the library may be small, it's comfortable, and the college offers basic facilities like a computer lab, smart classrooms, and a canteen.* Opportunities: As a relatively niche course, B.A. in Education at B Borooah College seems to offer decent placement opportunities, although these might be mostly within the education sector itself.Cons:* Limited industry relevance: Some students felt that the course didn't adequately prepare them for the workforce.* No company visits: Unlike technical colleges, B Borooah College doesn't attract companies for recruitment drives.* Limited internship opportunities: Although some students secured internships, others reported struggling to find opportunities.* Infrastructure issues: Reviews mentioned concerns about Wi-Fi availability, maintenance of hostels, and cleanliness.Verdict: While B.Borooah College's B.A. programme shows promise in terms of faculty and environmental factors, its limitations in providing industry-specific skills and opportunities might impact long-term employability. For students genuinely interested in pursuing a career in education, this course could still hold value. However, those seeking broader employment prospects or direct industrial connections might consider alternative options.Remember that individual experiences vary, and your decision ultimately depends on your personal goals and priorities.

{Source: B.A. students & alumni}Course Curriculum at B Borooah College for B.A.:* Relevance: The curriculum is relevant and provides students with a strong foundation for higher studies.* Discussion-Based Teaching: Faculty members use discussion-based teaching methods to promote two-way communication.* Assessment: Semester exams are moderate in difficulty, and sessional exams are conducted beforehand to help students prepare.* Passing Percentage: The passing percentage is generally high, with less than 10% of students failing.* Syllabus: While the syllabus may seem overwhelming at times, reducing it could make the course feel more focused on real-life application rather than just academic preparation.* Industry Readiness: Unfortunately, the course curriculum may not fully prepare students for the industry, making further studies necessary for career advancement.* Teaching Quality: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, providing guidance on studying and achieving good grades.Note: These points are based on the reviews and feedback provided by students and alumni of B Borooah College's B.A. program.
