Dear, CMAT Cut off for BK is generally 94 -95 percentile. So, I think to get admission with 88 percentile in open category would be tough.

Yes, it's a good option. I would recommend you to explore Executive MBA rather than distance MBA. An Executive MBA has inbuilt advantages compared to distance MBA both in terms of duration & curriculum.
