{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) offers a Bachelor's degree in Science (B.Sc.) in Agriculture, which prepares students for careers in the field of agriculture. While BAU has its strengths and weaknesses, here are some key points to consider:Placement and Internship Opportunities: Placement opportunities are limited, with only a handful of students getting placed every year. The highest salary package offered is around INR2 Lacs per annum, while the lowest is around INR20,000 per month. Some students have reported receiving internships with government PSUs, but the opportunities are scarce.Teaching Faculty: Most students and alumni praise the faculty for being knowledgeable, helpful, and motivational. However, some feel that older teachers lack innovative approaches to teaching.Infrastructure and Facilities: The university has a decent infrastructure, with Wi-Fi facilities, digital classrooms, libraries, and laboratories. However, the hostel infrastructure is subpar, with limited single rooms and poor maintenance.Curriculum Relevance: The course curriculum is considered relevant and covers a wide range of topics in agriculture. Practical classes are essential components of the program.Overall Rating: Based on student feedback, the overall rating for BAU's B.Sc. programme is mediocre. While the faculty is generally praised, the limited placement opportunities and subpar infrastructure are significant drawbacks.Recommendation: If you're interested in pursuing a career in agriculture, BAU might be a suitable choice. However, it's essential to weigh the pros and cons carefully and consider alternative options. Additionally, students should be prepared for limited placement opportunities and focus on developing skills outside of academics to enhance their employability prospects. Here are the bullet points summarizing the key findings:* Limited placement opportunities with a median salary package of around INR2 Lacs per annum* Decent infrastructure with Wi-Fi facilities, digital classrooms, and libraries* Knowledgeable and helpful faculty, although some older teachers may lack innovation* Relevant curriculum covering a wide range of topics in agriculture* Subpar hostel infrastructure with limited single rooms* Overall rating: mediocre due to limited placement opportunities and infrastructure issues

{Source: B.Sc. students & alumni}Placement Cell Support for B.Sc. Students at Birsa Agricultural UniversityBased on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's how the placement cell supports B.Sc. students at Birsa Agricultural University:* Internship opportunities: The college provides compulsory internships for final-year students, which helps them gain hands-on experience in various companies (both paid and unpaid).* Limited campus placements: Although the placement cell is active, major agricultural companies rarely visit the campus for recruitment. However, some students may get placed with lower packages.Note: The placement cell's performance seems to be limited, and more efforts are needed to improve campus recruitments.
