BIT, a green college located near Nethravathi river.
Placements: Placement department of the college is not up to the mark. The campus recruitment is very less. Only about 20 -30 percent of students are placed.
Roles offered are mostly junior or trainee engineer jobs. From our class, 5 of my friends got an internship for one month with a stipend of rupees 5000.
I have not got placed from the college recruitments, but now the placement department is improving with more campus interviews and placements.
Infrastructure: The college building has been built under the green building principle. Wi-Fi is available only in the college building and not in the hostel.
The classrooms are good. The library is not that big and books are also limited. Sports and games are encouraged in a good manner. Lab instruments are not fully functional but all instruments are available. Food available in the canteen is very good and tasty. There were no infrastructural issues during my tenure in the college.
Faculty: The college has a very good team of faculty members, especially in the electronics department. It has friendly and helpful faculty members.
All of them are qualified and have knowledge on related subjects. Teaching is done mostly in classrooms and written and soft copies of all the chapters covered are given. Chapters are covered on time.
3:1 was the student-faculty ratio in our department.

Other: Beary’s institute of technology is one of the best professional colleges in Mangalore. The infrastructure of this college is really impressive. It has an Eco friendly green campus. Here you get the best environment for studying and relaxing. The management and faculty is very good. It contains modern lab instruments. It is one of the best in Karnataka also in coming years we can expect it will become a university.

Know before you join the college bit.
Placements: Last year, only 1 student was placed in 2023. The number of placements is uncertain, but you can estimate it based on the number of students placed. New companies are not very popular. Most students are paying for internships, but there is no clear information about the roles. The number of companies coming for recruitment is low; they often combine with other colleges, and students must go there for interviews.
Infrastructure: There are no proper components in the labs and no effective water management during the rainy seasons. There is only 1 canteen, and the food is not good, which is the main problem many students are facing. There is a good indoor facility for games, with 1 period each week dedicated to it. However, there is no proper network coverage.
Faculty: They have the knowledge, but they are not supportive. For industry and other areas, we need to gain some additional knowledge. The semester was fine, but the marks we receive are less compared to other colleges. They don’t complete the syllabus on time; at the last moment, they rush through it and don’t conduct revisions.
Other: If a student is having financial problems, they can choose this college.

I am very satisfied with the location of the college.
Placements: Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The lowest salary offered was Rs 10,000 per month. The average salary offered was Rs 30,000 per month. The top recruiting company was Infosys. There are very less recruiters for civil and mechanical courses.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Laboratory is well maintained. Hostels are better. Wi-Fi is available in our library. The food served in the mess is great. Many types of food items are available. Our college is well known for sports like football.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and well-trained. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is dependent on VTU. Semester exams are easy if we prepare well. The passing percentage is high compared to other colleges in the city.
Other: Our campus life is poor. Fests and events are not conducted. Our campus crowd is not good.

Placements: The placements depend upon the overall performance of the student, but the college tries its best to do. In the end, the companies look for the student's performance and activities.
Infrastructure: Hostel experience is one of the best about this college. The food is good. The college has all the required things, and most of the things can be found, but the only drawback is that the location is the best. It is far from the city, but the best part is it is covered with greenery.
Faculty: The faculty members are good and help us in every way.
