Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Film, TV and Animation Studies (BVBFTS) offers Diploma programs in film, television, and radio. The admission to all the UG and PG programs is based on a candidate's aptitude for the media industry and their performance in the admission test and Personal Interview (PI) round conducted by the department. Candidates who have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board and have the required aptitude for the chosen programme are eligible to apply to BVBFTS. The department provides over 10 full-time and part-time Diploma courses in the field of Film, Television, and Radio. The seats are limited, and admission is competitive. The courses are project-oriented, and nearly 60% of the time is spent on practical work. The BVBFTS education policy is "LEARNING BY DOING, " and the course curriculum is 'Industry Oriented.' The institute has a strong emphasis on practical training in TV production, TV journalism, photography, animation, and related subjects. The institute's website emphasizes that theoretical knowledge and a degree with good marks alone are not sufficient to get a job in the industry. The admission process includes an admission test and a personal interview, and candidates are required to submit a paragraph of 300 words about "Why do you want to join this course." Limited seats are available in all courses, and classes are residential with no correspondence courses. The institute does not provide any hostel facility, and students have to manage their stay in Delhi. Once the online application form is filled, candidates will receive a call within 24 hours from the BVB office to fix an appointment and date for the admission test.In conclusion, it is clear that the admission process is competitive, and the institute emphasizes practical training and industry-oriented learning. Therefore, meeting the minimum cutoff alone may not guarantee a seat at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Film, TV and Animation Studies (BVBFTS).

The eligibility criteria for admission to all the UG and PG programs are based on a candidate's aptitude for the media industry and their performance in the admission test and PI round conducted by the department. Candidates who have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board and have the required aptitude for the chosen programme are eligible to apply to BVBFTS. All full-time UG Diploma programs offered by the department are of one-year duration. The admission procedure involves a personal visit to the office to deposit the application form, followed by an interview where the candidate's look, appearance, and determination for a career in the media industry are judged. After the interview, the candidate has to appear for an entrance test for which they have to pay the required registration fee and collect the admission test entry ticket. The first list of selected candidates will be displayed on the website within ten days of the admission test. If selected, the candidate has to pay the first installment of the fee within the specified time to confirm their admission. The courses offered by BVBFTS are not affiliated with any university or government body, but the course curriculum and practical training are considered much better than any Indian university.
