Review of Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology.
Placements: In BTKIT maximum package was about 40,000 per month .
The highest I have known is about 70,000 per month .
Recently, BHL has arrived in this college.
To get entry into college, your percentage would be in the range of 60 to 90%.
Then only you can get a good branch.
Infrastructure: Every batch has their own labs . Student should not be worried about any labs or wifi classrooms . There is no lack of teachers. Every subject has their own teachers. And every practical subject has its own labs . An interesting thing is that their is a separate branch for computer work, that is the CCFC Branch.
Faculty: In this college, every teacher is well educated.
They all have done MTech from IIT colleges .
Some are PhD teachers.
Exams are held every month .
Semesters are held from 4 months of college starting.
Sudden tests are taken by teachers .
CT's are taken .
Other: An important note is that attendance matters a lot . If your attendance is not 75%, you will be detained for CT's . And if you don't complete the attendance, you will be detained for semester exams.

Good location of college, good teachers, and nice environment.
Placements: To get an electronics branch, the student should have a minimum rank of 5 lacs.
The lowest package in this college is about 1.5 lacs per month.
The highest package is about 11 lacs.
BYB Company and BEL (Bharat Electronics Limited) are the top recruiters from 2024 placement.
New companies are now arriving.
Infrastructure: The quality of hostel is a little bit bad, which means food is good but infrastructure is not very nice.
But renovation is now taking place, and in a few years it will be very nice if Wi-Fi is available in hostels and college.
Every practical subject has its own lab.
Faculty: The difficulty level is moderate, and the faculty is very good.
Every teacher in college is very knowledgeable.
Many teachers are from IT colleges.
There are very helpful teachers.
Teachers also take a surprise test.
Other: The best thing is that every teacher is present in the branch according to requirement, meaning there is no lack of teachers.

The review of BTKIT College.
Placements: The placement in our college was good before the pandemic, but after that, the placement rate dropped. Around 20–30% of seniors were only placed. The highest package offered last year was around 7-8 LPA, the lowest was around 3 LPA, and the average was around 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is decent. Earlier, there were no Wi-Fi facilities in classrooms or in hostels, but now each department has a Wi-Fi facility, and the labs are also good. The library is also good. The hostels are a little bit far from departments, but not much, and the food quality in every hostel's mess is decent. There is a government hospital near the campus. There are decent grounds for cricket and two basketball courts, one for girls and the other for boys, and for other sports and games, there is decent space and equipment available.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful, and most of the permanent faculty members are Ph.D. holders, and even some of the faculty members are really good. Like HOD (Head of Department) of chemical engineering branch was AIR 1 in GATE. The quality of teaching is also good. The course curriculum is just like any other college, and in my opinion, it doesn't make the student industry ready. The semester exams are not very difficult, but sometimes the marking is done very poorly because the notebooks are checked at UTU (Uttarakhand Technical University).
Other: The computer science engineering is one of the best branches in the technical field now a days; that's why I chose this branch.

Bad management but good location .
Placements: Placements are average; a few companies visit the campus, which offers an average package of 3-3.5 LPA. The highest placement was given by BEL (Bharat Electronics Limited) with a package of 11.5 LPA to 7 students, and the lowest package was 2.16 LPA offered to 27 students. Students either seek job offers off-campus or opt for higher studies.
Infrastructure: You cannot expect top-notch infrastructure from a state-funded college. The location and views are beautiful, as the campus is on a hill area, but the maintenance of the campus is very bad by the management. Washrooms are very dirty; even the boys' washrooms do not have light facilities. You have to store water to survive, as there is no running water facility from the tap. The mess food is horrible; you will not be able to chew the chapatti. Even some of my batchmates suffered from food poisoning.
Faculty: Faculty is good; they help us during examinations and guide us to score well. They are well-qualified and experienced. The course follows the curriculum decided by UTU (Uttaranchal Technical University). The exam pattern is doable; just the checking is hard, and you have to maintain an attendance of 75% to give the exam; otherwise, you can be debarred.
Other: I wish management would focus more on the development of the college. They should open societies or clubs so that students can indulge in some extracurricular activities. There is 1 cultural fest, SCINTILLA, held in a year and 1 sports fest, SPARDHA. The campus crowd is below average, as students getting 30-35 percentile also get branches like ECE and EE. The campus surroundings are good if you are a mountain person, but there is a lot of connectivity problem.

Review for BTKIT, Dwarahat .
Placements: I am pursuing B.Teach CSE from btkit dwarahat, and placement for CSE there is good, like avergae students got placement, and for core branches placement is below average, which means if you are a very good student then only there is any scope for you there. The highest package is around 12 LPA, and the minimum is around 2 to 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, main buildings are good, labs are maintained, you can easily study and explore there, and for hostels, hostels need maintenance, and rooms are decent there. And about mess, in the initial days, the food is good, but later at the end, the food is like ***. Wi-Fi is there, and sports and other facilities are decent.
Faculty: The faculty is good there; they teach decently, make us ready for internships, and are well-suited to job-related candidates. The curriculum and exams are at a at a decent level, and with decent study, you can pass your exams. This also helps in giving more time to our other programmes.
Other: I am doing B.Teach CSE, which is quite good there, as for core branches. College is decent. But you can't completely rely on faculty; you have to do things on your own.

Infrastructure is good but faculty is disappointing.
Placements: No placements in this college. Approximately 5 percent of students only get placed in companies. You will have to get a job on your own as this college won't help you with placements. This college had good placements 15 years ago, but now this college does not hold value for money.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good in terms of labs,, hostels etc. Hostels have sufficient water for the students. You will get purified water to drink, but the mess food is not good according to me. I mean not every hostel’s food is good.
Faculty: Teachers may be qualified but they don't know how to teach. I am not talking about every teacher but aprox 2 out of 5 don't know how to teach. Also there are very less permanent teachers and most of the teachers are hired on contractual basis. Examinations are hard, if you don't study, you can get a back.
