The institute is located in the most picturesque surroundings of the lake town of Bhimtal, in the Nainital district of Uttaranchal. The campus is spread over an area of about 10 hectares of prime land amongst the Kumaun hills, thus providing a cool climate and lush green environmental surroundings, ideally conducive to academic pursuit. There are enormous facilities provided.
Library, Classrooms, Laboratories, Hostel, Mess etc.
The beautiful campus of the Birla Institute of Applied Sciences is spread over an area of about 25 acres in Bhimtal, in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. The infrastructure and facilities available on campus are among the very best. The campus breathes a peaceful academic environment and envelops two large academic blocks, laboratory blocks, workshops, computer centres, a central library, staff quarters, and separate hostels for boys and girls. The institute has collaborated with the CISCO Local Academy and runs a well-equipped CCNA lab to conduct CISCO courses. The Institute also operates a Government of India project on solar radiation resource assessment at CWET Chennai. For safety and security, BIAS is equipped with 55 CCTV cameras and 55 solar street lights. All the hostels have solar water heating systems. Looking at the big picture, the institute leaves no stone unturned to prepare its students for undertaking leading roles in a rapidly changing corporate environment.

Bad laboratories for ECE student. College Fest and other function are not properly organised. Avg salary is not too good. You will find range of student from 95% to 50%.

Birla Institute is a good college for studies. But, in terms of placement DIT is a better option.
