My point of view about BIT is positive.
Placements: Students become eligible for placements after the 6th semester. Numerous companies come to the campus for placements, offering jobs in a wide spectrum ranging from engineering to management to sales and finance, etc. The highest package received last year was 50 LPA. Usually, around 80-90% of students get placed during campus placements.
Infrastructure: Hostels here are well-equipped, and most of them have 24/7 electricity. There are usually two ceiling fans and four light bulbs provided in each room. The food in the hostel mess is decent and offers both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the menu. The registration process for the hostel can be completed at the time of admission itself.
Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified. The student-to-teacher ratio is 1:60, which suits the students quite well. All the faculty members have completed their Master's degrees, and many have doctorate degrees as well. They provide great mentorship based on their experience. We interact almost daily with our teachers, and in case of emergencies, we can contact them on WhatsApp.
Other: I am a civil engineering student, and I chose this course for its future job prospects. I personally feel that the curriculum fully prepares us for the real world, as it includes compulsory vocational training and internships along with academics. However, there is always scope for improvement. In this case, improvements are needed for the labs, as they require modifications. Exams are held as mid-semesters and end-semesters, and vivas are also conducted.

There is a strong alumni support.
Placements: In my batch, we're learning under the new education policy, which is a great improvement. The internship program provided in the first year was especially good and helped us enhance our knowledge. As a result, almost 20 students in our batch were placed at salaries above 20 lakhs, which is possible because of our alumni.
Infrastructure: The campus of Birsa Institute of Technology, Sindri is spread over 400 acres. The campus provides everything you need, including a gym, a mall, and a restaurant. The hospital is also on campus, and the old hostels are being replaced with new ones. The food in the hostels is outstanding, and every room has Wi-Fi.
Faculty: The faculty here are the best in Jharkhand, and many of them are from IIT or MIT. They teach in a friendly way, and the new education policies are beneficial to the students. New options are constantly being developed here for us.
Other: I am a civil engineering student. I can see a bright future for civil engineers. The college provides many scholarship programs for economically disadvantaged students.

Not much better for civil branch campus placement.
Placements: I am from civil engineering branch and in my batch, approximately 70 percent of students have been placed every year. The top recruiting companies are JSW, Vedanta, Aditya Birla, Unacademy, etc. The highest package in this year is 13 LPA, with an average package of 6.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Every branch has a different building, and for each branch there are well-educated professors, and the quality of teachers is too good, but only because it is a government college. It has some limitations, like a lack of proper management. The library is there but not open all the time and closes at every festival.
Faculty: Teachers and there teaching techniques are helpful for exams because they are well educated. Our civil branch is to meaningful in this area because of the newly constructed area of Dhanbad and has huge requirements in this field. The semester exams are not that tough if you have studied properly.

A very good college providing good placements. It has the best overall return on investment.
Placements: About 70 to 80% of the students from every branch get placed. The top recruiting companies of my course are L&T, Vedanta, Cement, Tata, etc. Many students get internships from different companies like Tata steel. The top roles offered in our course include GET.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of the library in our department is very good. Every book is available in the central library workshop and every lab is present for real life experience of the Civil course. The hostel facilities are very good and amazing. The college had a canteen, medical and sports and games facilities. All are very good in our college.
Faculty: The faculty members come here through cracking JPSC exams and all are very experienced and supportive. The course curriculum is very relevant. It definitely makes us ready for industrial purpose. The semester exams are quite difficult. The passing marks are very important to score.
Other: I chose this course because I want to crack government exams in my field. Many events are generally organised. There are many scholarships available for the students like e-Kalyan and FFE.

Great faculty, Average infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed in my course. The highest package offered was 13.2 LPA by Vedanta. average package is around 6 LPA the lowest package offered by shree Cement, 4.2 LPA. The Recruiting companies were L&T and Aditya Birla Group. Every company recruits for Graduate Engineer Trainee roles. Basically, their role is to assist the senior engineers and learn from them, and after few months, they are promoted to take on responsible projects. Internships are must for 2nd and 3rd year students. So everyone does internships in their 2nd and 3rd year summer break.
Infrastructure: We have a huge library with a lot of books of all kinds, mainly focused on engineering and science. Infrastructure is fine, and classes are in good condition. Labs are outdated, with some machines not working at all. There is no Wi-Fi on campus; you can install it by contacting the internet provider in your hostel. Hostels are average quality. Food is average; it also depends on the person in charge. Some mess have good food, but mostly average. We have a big field for sports with all the facilities. We also have courts for basketball and badminton separately. Inter-branch sports events are held regularly for all the sports each year.
Faculty: Professors are PHDs from top IITs. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching is the best thing in this course. The course is a bit outdated, but we have regular workshops for upskilling. We also have compulsory internships in the 2nd and 3rd years, which helps us learn a lot about the present techniques and technologies used in industry and also helps with placements. Semester exams are neither difficult nor easy, but teaching is good, so around 95% of students pass.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in structural engineering. The best thing about my course is that the evergreen development of infrastructure will always keep happening. So, you will never be out of jobs if you are good enough. course should teach more about modern technology and techniques used in industry, not focus on outdated things. We have regular events hosted by different clubs, which are open to everyone. We also have a teachfest each year but no annual fest. Connectivity and roads inside campus are good and well maintained. campus is located in isolated area so surrounding area is not very good. If you want to reach the college, you have to take a train from Dhanbad, or you can also reach by road, which is around 25 Kms. Scholarships: The Total found waiver (TFW) scheme is provided by college to few poor students. College also helps in getting external scholarships like the E-Kalyan and others. Extracurricular activities: : there are a lot of extracurricular activities that keep taking place, which is organised by different clubs we have around 10 different clubs for sporting events: we have sports club, for coding, we have hacking and coding club, for environment protection, we have eco club; and alot lot more. There are a lot of extracurricular activities in college.

A:

BIT Sindri accepts two entrance exam mainly for BTech.

JEECE which is the state entrance exam for engineering in Jharkhand and JEE Main

A:

The latest cutoff was JEE Main rank of 181000 which is the maximum Rank they accepted last year.

Last year this number was 185000+ which means that in upcoming time the maximum rank would be even lesser so it is recommend to try to secure 100000 rank or less in JEE Main to get a Secure Seat. Even though if you wish to get CSE or IT you have to secure around 40000 or less Rank in JEE Main.

Almost, every institute offers admission for lateral entry same as Birsa Institute of Technology do. BIT conducts separate exam for that and the number of seats through lateral entry in all branches are 10% of the normal seats.
