Wait for another year or take admission in a different college. Weigh your options now. What would be best for you, waiting or pursuing the degree from different college.

I would suggest joining a coaching if you are serious. And also be ready to devote at least 5 hours a day to study. Since the questions asked will be on class 12th basis, so make sure to sweep through the whole syllabus and clear each topic. Leave some topics if you feel that they are consuming much time. Solve practice sets as much as you can. Since you are looking for a college that is the top choice for students, it will not be easy. So, prepare accordingly.

Well, scopes in itself is quite a vague term. With scope you want to know about the job or about the field? Let us consider you want both. So, if you are wondering where would you land up after investing 4 precious years of your adoloscent life then let me tell you there are plenty of choices and scopes for you if you are capable enough. Oil and Gas sector:
Major PSUs are IOCL, HPCL, BPCL, GAIL, ONGC. Major private companies are Reliance, Shell, Essar, Mittal Energy Group etc. Other Sectors:
Fertilisers: National Fertilisers Ltd, Kribhco, IFFCO etc. Paints: Asian Paints, Berger Paints etc. Food and Other Processing: Godrej, ITC, P&G, TATA etc. Cement: Ambuja Cement, Ulteatech Cement, Lafarge etc. Energy Sector: Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL), Vedanta, Nalco etc. Note: These are NOT the only companies. I have just named a few. There are other big companies apart from these as well. Now, as far as government sector jobs or PSUs and the Fertiliser companies are concerned. You need to appear in th GATE exam. And if we have brought up the GATE let me tell you the other purpose for which this exam is used. It is used to get admitted into the M.Tech programmes at IITs and NITs and probably some other prestigious private and government funded universities. GATE is taken by the students who are in their 8th semester or those who have already graduated. It's score is valid for 3 years. So, if your question is related to the OTHER SCOPE I. e. the scope of the field then yes, it has a very bright scope as all the major IITs and NITs have proper M.Tech and Ph.D. courses for chemical engineering. After Ph.D. you can get yourself a job of a professor or in the R&D sector of a company. Apart from these companies, ISRO and DRDO also do offer jobs to chemical engineers but it all depends on the vacancies listed out every year by them. And if you have any plans of going out of the country then too u can easily explore by doing Masters in the field of chemical engineering, environment engineering, food engineering etc. I hope it would clear your mind about the scope of the chemical engineering :)

Fewer colleges in india offer the mining engineering course Therefore, it's great and it has one of the best placement records in BIT Dindri. The placement is quite good in comparison to other branches.

Honestly speaking, it is very difficult to get BIT-Sindri in such rank as general. There's only around 750 seats are available there, now you can calculate what should be the rank for being selected there. As there's many seats being reserved for SC/ST (around 3040%) now remain seats are filled students having rank 1000 and below ( after considering some are being selected for JEE Mains and advanced). However, in 2nd and 3rd round of counselling there's chance of getting the same. I would strongly suggest you to give yourself one more chance if you are capable. All the best.

Hello Harsh,
You have a reasonable rank. I feel that you have good chances of getting admission in your desired branch. Just hang on till the last round of counselling.
Best wishes.
