The institute offers direct admission to those students who are toppers from the Science stream having taken Physics, Chemistry,  Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects in 12th standard. Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is an entrance exam conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses (BE).

BITS Goa admission to BE are based on Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) scores followed by BITSAT Counselling. Every year, the cutoff for BITSAT changes depending upon various factors. In order to be eligible for BE CS at BITS Goa candidates must have a range of 390 score and cutoff between 286 and 328.

BITS Goa offers BE equivalent to BTech as an undergraduate programme. The institute offers overall a decent package. According to media reports, the highest package and average package offered during BITS Pilani Goa placements 2023 stood at INR 60.75 LPA and INR 30.37 LPA, respectively.
