BMS College of Engineering admissions 2024 are entrance based. Candidates who wish to take admission to any of the undergraduate or postgraduate programmes offered at BMS College of Engineering must appear for the entrance examination. The College does not offer direct admission to candidates in any of the programmes. Candidates who wish to take admission to the BE programme must appear for either KCET or COMEDK and admission to the MTech programme at BMSCE is made through GATE or Karnataka PGCET. BMS College of Engineering eligibility criteria varies according to different programmes offered by the institute at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and have obtained at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC, ST and Category-I candidates) in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Electronics or Computer Science as optional subjects can apply for admission to the BE programme offered at BMS College of Engineering.

Candidates who want to take admission in the BE programme through management quota must have passed Class 12 examination with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ CS/ Electronics with a minimum 60% aggregate. • Candidate who have a BE/ BTech degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) are eligible to apply for admission to the M.Tech programme. BMS College eligibility criteria for MBA programme is a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% marks for SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) taken together in all the subjects including language subject.
• Candidate who have passed the Bachelor’s degree examination with Mathematics/ Statistics/ CS/ Computer Application/ Computer Programming/ Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects with a minimum 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC, ST and Category-I candidates from Karnataka) can apply for BMS College of Engineering MCA admission.

BMS College of Engineering course admissions are only made through the entrance examination scores and rank obtained by candidates. BMSCE accepts the rank and scores of various entrance examinations depending upon the programme opted by the  candidates. KCET and COMEDK scores are required for BMS College BE admission while GATE and Karnataka PGCET scores are required for MTech admission.
