Chances are less actually. In CSE seats get filled pretty soon but once you get into college you can easily change your branch to CSE.
Just have good CGPA & some extra money have to be paid to get into it.

For placements in BMSCE, a CGPA of 7/10 would do. However, some companies do have a cut-off of 8 or 8.5. So, it is better to have a good CGPA. But placements do not depend on marks alone. Aptitude, personality, knowledge and communication also

In BMSCE, if you have a good ComedK rank, you will get admission. Mostly, a rank within 2500 would help you to get a branch of your choice.
