Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry - Batch of 2025
Offered by Bombay Veterinary College

Be a good veterinarian with Bombay Veterinary College.
Placements: My batch consists of 100 students from the 2020 cohort, with 15% coming through the All India Quota and 85% from the State Quota. Additionally, there are provisions for Jammu & Kashmir and Defense Quotas. This course offers a promising future with numerous opportunities in fields like pet clinics, poultry farms, livestock farming, and agriculture.
Infrastructure: The hostel is in a prime location in Mumbai, near Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital. It offers more spacious accommodations compared to typical Mumbai standards. There are plenty of sports activities, and Marine Lines is the nearest and best spot to visit. For medical concerns, KEM Hospital provides excellent and cooperative services to us.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good with experienced professors, and there is a good atmosphere for learning and exposure. The passing percentage is good, with no difficulty in passing any exam. There is no need for much hard work or taking pressure for exams. Exams are held once annually.
Other: My course consists of 19 subjects in total:
- 1st year: 3 subjects
- 2nd year: 5 subjects
- 3rd year: 7 subjects
- 4th year: 4 subjects

I am satisfied because of faculty members, good placements, and facilities.
Placements: In our college, there are 108 students per batch. The salary package offered is 4 LPA to 18 LPA. Almost all students got internships in well-known companies, and some students have their own practices, so there is no need to rely on companies. There is an opportunity for government officers.
Infrastructure: There will be no Wi-Fi, and the building is more than 130 years old so the infrastructure is not very good. The hostel facility is both very friendly and very annoying. The canteen and mess are too good. Many sports facilities are available to play.
Faculty: They are well-qualified teachers. Almost all are Ph.D. holders in their subjects and they are knowledgeable. They are very helpful and most annoying to all students. Exams are very difficult if you don't study. Otherwise, exams will be moderately hard.
Other: It is the most satisfying course for me and it has huge future scope. There are many such events that will be held at the college.

Everything about our college is very good, except the infrastructure.
Placements: It depends on one's choice to do private practice or job but if anyone is interested in doing a private job in the company. The average salary offered ranges from Rs 40,000 per month - Rs 60,000 per month. It depends on one's experience in the field.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is old and damaged due to heavy rain and flood, but it is good, because of surrounded by greenery and trees everywhere. The campus is also very huge as compared to other colleges in Mumbai. The canteen is average.
Faculty: Professors of our college are highly qualified and very much knowledgeable. They have high quality teaching. The course curriculum is relevant. Students do not have semester wise exam, and they have the assessments. Teachers are just testing the eligibility of student for passing this course which is 50%.
Other: I opted for this course, because I love treating animals and this field.

The college is good, and you can experience many new things.
Placements: The salary offered depends on the student's experience. Nearly all students got internships. No company comes to our college because students are independent. People from this college get placed on their own.
Infrastructure: The campus is nature friendly, and lots of trees and pet animals are found nearby. The infrastructure is good, but it could be better. Mess food is good. Sports like cricket (box) are available. The city is much better than your expectations. Wi-Fi is available. I was shocked when I saw the UG campus.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and much responsible for students. The passing percentage is not hard to achieve if you work hard. You can go and ask them any question and be assured of getting satisfactory answers. The teachers are really the best here.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry - Batch of 2025

College is bad, but the city compensates more than enough.
Placements: Less number of students got direct placements from college. The one who got placement were even on their own so direct placements is not much of a question. Moreover, even some students got their placements in foreign countries. Some even do the job in some research companies and some work in the public sector too at higher posts.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is not just bad. It's the worst I guess. It is not even worthy to talk about it. But the hostel facilities are good. There is a proper water supply. Proper cleaning facilities in the hostel. The hostel environment is too good and friendly.
Faculty: The faculty is good, knowledgeable, and highly qualified. Teachers have average teaching qualities. Some are poor at teaching and some are good. Curriculum activities are great. There are too many sports activities on the campus. There are some study activities too in college.
Other: Value for money, if you ask me, for college the value for money seems to be very futile. College doesn't have much about anything good like a campus or anything.
