Few companies consider only freshers, whereas few companies ask for work ex students. So freshers have very good opportunities to get into big companies. Being a CAT \ CMAT \ XAT \ MAT \ trainer for the last 15 years, I would start by saying that your MAT score is very low. You have to look at scoring a minimum of 700 plus in the MAT exam to make it to a reputed B School. Moreover, very few reputed B Schools, accept MAT scores. They prefer either CAT or XAT scores. Your objective should be to make it to the top 50 B Schools in India. It is only then that your degree will be recognized and valued by the corporate world. Since, your career, to a huge extent, depends on your first job, you have to be doubly careful. Most of the B Schools in the top 50 accept CAT and XAT scores. The CAT exam is held once a year in the month of October - November with a window period of 20 days. XAT is also held once a year, in the month of January. Kindly make a conscious decision
