This is Tamil Nadu's best medical college.
Placements: It's a government media college. They give students the best learning environment and more practical, useful learning. Many cadavers are there for students to dissect and learn from. Through self-directed learning, they encourage students to learn by themselves.
Infrastructure: The food is nice, and they change the menu according to the students wishes. The mess is around INR 5000–6000. A new hostel was built last year for its first year. The hostel fee is INR 20000, which has to be paid initially. If a student is sick, they will take care of the student immediately.
Faculty: They follow competency-based medical education. They do everything as per the NMC. Roleplays are done for easy understanding. A competitive symposium is conducted for students to make them take seminars. Group discussions are done for students to make them discuss clinical studies.

    Coimbatore Medical College, the heaven.
Placements: As you know, all the medical students will become a doctor one day. Passing MBBS is not a big deal. But we have to gain knowledge. Our college offers 200 MBBS seats from the 2021-2022 batch. The only disadvantage is Our College hospital is located 13-24 km away from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well established. No Wi-Fi facility. Our college building is old since it is established in 1966. The new building has been built for lectures and a Lady's hostel for the first year. Our hostel food was amazing including evening snacks and refreshments.
Faculty: Faculty members are very much knowledgeable persons. Well trained. They help in solving study-related queries. They conduct daily slip tests without fail. The teaching quality is moderate. SPM visit is also there as per the new NMC curriculum. I. e competency-based medical education.

Our college and staff members are great. Infrastructure may require some improvement.
Placements: As it is a medical college, there aren't any placements. However, many students apply for postgraduate courses and get a good score within a year. During internships, students can have good clinical exposure and can be quite well-versed in the basics of medicine, which help them greatly during their postgraduate.
Infrastructure: The college building has a small canteen and store. The canteen generally sells coffee, tea, juice corner and other snacks items such as Bajji and Bonda depending on the day. The store sells necessary stationery, books and also has some snacks such as biscuits and crisps. Bathroom facilities within the college building need some work. The water supply to the bathrooms isn't great, and it is something that should be worked on. Hostels are the cleanest, and the food in the hostel is good. The college also has a library and ground. The library contains every medical book which students want. There is also a section where you can take in your own books and study. It is a common place for graduates to study for their upcoming NEET exams. The ground is large and is maintained quite well. We also have a good basketball with adequate lighting as matches go on till quite late at night. There is a badminton court along with a few table tennis tables as well. However, the hospital for our college is located 7 km away from the campus, for which they provide a bus for the final years alone.
Faculty: Teachers are very well-qualified, and the clinical exposure in the college is also very good. Students enter the clinical side in their second year of college, so there are 4 years of clinical exposure, which is very useful. In the clinics, professors and postgraduates teach, and most of them are happy to share their knowledge.

It is a wonderful place to start your college life.
Placements: MBBS is a five and a half year course where the first four years are meant for learning the basics of the subject, and the next 1 year comprises of internship in various departments. The government hospital of Coimbatore is well established and one of the busiest hospitals in the state, which provides us with an ample amount of experience to tackle the stress associated with humongous patient load. Moreover, it teaches how to work and take care efficiently of every patient. This provides us with an excellent clinical knowledge base which will help us in life.
Infrastructure: You can't expect much from a government hostel, but among all other hostels, this is better. The taste and cleanliness of the food served here are good. There's a huge ground on the premises, and there is a good ambience. The library functions from 8 am to 8 pm with a good collection of books.
Faculty: The professors here are highly qualified and very much dedicated to their subject. Postgraduates who are studying here also help students in every way they could. The basics are taught very well here. It definitely makes the students' medical fraternity friendly.
Other: There is a dedicated unit named multidisciplinary research unit, which is a central government-funded setup. So, there is more scope to learn about research. Our college and its hospital are around 8 km apart from each other. However, buses are provided by the college for the commute.

It is a good government medical college.
Placements: In medical college, placements are not offered. But because of the good reputation of the college, students do get a better salary as MBBS doctors than those from other colleges. You have to do your postgraduate studies to get a good salary for the future.
Infrastructure: Our college does not provide a Wi-Fi facility. Labs are well-equipped. The building is old, but nothing has fallen apart yet. Classrooms are well-ventilated. The library is decent with good reference books. However, you can't take any book from the library to home. The hostel is old. The food served is decent. There is a good ground to play outdoor sports.
Faculty: All the teachers in our college are qualified up to their postgraduate studies in the same subject. They are knowledgeable but not always helpful. The course curriculum enables the students to become good doctors in the future.
Other: I have chosen this course to become a doctor because it has been my dream forever. It would be good if the college organises a greater college fest.

It has high patient flow, good infrastructure, and abundant opportunities.
Placements: Government medical colleges don't officially provide placements after the course. All the students easily get a job after completing their degree as the demand for doctors is very high. The starting salary is about 40,000 per month. Students have the option to join government services or private hospitals. They can also have their own practice.
Infrastructure: Coimbatore Medical College is a very old college, and it has one of the best infrastructures in South India. The college has very good operation theatres and laboratories. The hostels are a bit old. The food is very good in the hostels, and hostel life is exceptional. The library is open from 8 am to 8 pm. Wi-Fi is available in the hospital.
Faculty: All the medical colleges under Tamil Nadu MGR Medical University follow the same course curriculum which is prescribed by the National Medical Council. Coimbatore is the second-largest city in Tamil Nadu, and it has high caseloads and very good professors. Orthopedic and surgery departments in Coimbatore Medical College are very famous.
