(Post Basic)Upper age limit for the candidate presently employed by the West Bengal State Govt is 53 completed years (as on 31.12.2023) and no upper age limit for others (including ESI/Central govt.employee).
At the time of admission, the candidates presently employed by the West Bengal State Govt. will have to follow the then applicable TR Rules of the WB State Govt.
The candidates presently employed by the West Bengal State Govt. must have at least 3 years' qualifying uninterrupted/ regularized experience in Govt. service as on the last date of application. Work experience is not essential for others (including ESI and Central Govt. employees)M.Sc.Age limit :
WB State Govt employee: 53 years as on 31.12 2023.
Others: No upper age limit (including ESI and Central Govt. employees).
Work experience:
WB State Govt employee: Minimum 3 years' working experience after publication of result of the qualifying examinations (which is taken as the date of the final mark sheet) and by the last date of application.
For B.Sc. Nursing -1 year experience after publication of final result and by the last date of application.
For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. (Hons)- Nursing - 1-year experience before or after publication of final result and by the last date of application.
For Post Basic B.Sc. - Nursing through distance education- 1 year experience after publication of final result and by the last date of application.B.Sc.Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Science stream from a recognised board.GNMRegistered ANM with pass mark.

1) The work experience must have been in nursing that is patient care/client care/family care/community care/ teaching in Nursing Training Programmes such as B.Sc. Nursing, GNM, MPHW, ANM, PHN or HS (Health Supervisor).
2) The experience should be in a teaching hospital or a hospital with minimum 100 beds and have facilities for providing experience in different Clinical Areas or Community Health or Nursing Education Institutions recognised by Indian Nursing Council.
Note : (a) Teaching hospital refers to a hospital having School/College of Nursing offering B.Sc. Nursing / G.N.M. / M.P.H.W. / P.HW. / Midwifery / P.H.N. / H.S. (Health Supervisor) recognised by Indian Nursing Council.
3) Community Health Agencies include M.C.H. Centre/ P.H.C./ R.H.C./C.H.C. or Taluk Headquarter Hospital.B.Sc.The Vice-Chancellor may, however, on the basis of individual merit relax the age up to a maximum period of one year.
Only women candidates are eligible for the course.
