The College of Pharmacy in SRM IST Chennai is, in most cases, a good school, offering a robust curriculum and good infrastructure. It offers undergraduate (B.Pharm) and postgraduate (M.Pharm) programs. Teaching resources are good, qualified teachers are present and students undergo internal assessments regularly and in general, the atmosphere is quite helpful for learning.Addressing placement services, it can be said that SRM IST performs quite well in this respect. The average salary offered to pharmacy school graduates is usually not low, and people from numerous industries including, but not limited to, pharmaceutical, health care and research recruiters are present at the institute. The fees for B.Pharm are quite decent as compared to other private universities, although some of the students think the fees for the programs offered are a bit more expensive.Nevertheless, much like other large organizations, SRM IST can be noisy at times and more than often, the positioning of the students can become rather cut throat. Students are encouraged to take up internships and industry tie ups to improve the employability of those students.
