CGEC: Best college of North Bengal.
Placements: 30% to 40% of students are placed. The highest package is around 7 Lacs/annual, and the lowest is around 4 Lacs/annual, the average is around 4 Lacs/annual. The top recruiting companies are L&T, Adani, Worley, TCS, COGNIZANT, etc. Most of the students will go and have done their internship to gain industrial knowledge such as JINDAL, TATA STEEL, MAHINDRA, etc.
Infrastructure: Faculty members and facilities are good no doubt, the way of teaching technique is very precious and knowledgeable, faculty members are highly educated and very much responsible with their duties. The labs and classrooms are well-furnished and ventilated, and Wi-Fi connectivity is not quite good but the overall experience is not so bad. The hostel interior is attractive and well furnished with multiple bathrooms and the quality of food is sometimes good and sometimes bad. Sports like indoor and outdoor both are available.
Faculty: Well qualified faculty members are really helpful and reliable, and teaching quality is up to the mark, before the semester all the teachers used to complete students' syllabi with proper guidance. The course curriculum is better for gaining beginner-level knowledge about industries. Semester exams are not difficult to get passing marks. Pass percentage of the college is 98% to 99%. Overall, students have done their B teach. In 4 years.
Other: The course which is Mechanical Engineering is way better than other courses if students want to be successful in knowledge and priority branch for many in government. Engineering colleges. Campus placement should be better and recruiting up to 80%, so students can fill and get a grabbing opportunity. The fest of this college is called ESPERANZA, where students can participate in multiple programs to explore.

Best Campus Life in North Bengal.
Placements: Being a over engineer college, it seems to have a great placement to offer but in reality it is not the story. Being located in a city of Coochbebar (very away from Kolkata) it often faces problem to have the companies in on campus placements. Though for Non Core TCS, Cognizant etc. Have been a regular placement dealers. For core L&T is the best company to have in the campus. 30-40% students get placed everyyear. Internship assist is not given until and unless you have some 'very good' relation with the Holds.
Infrastructure: Hostel is provided only for 3rd & 4th Year boys. 1st and 2nd year hostels are under construction. Hostel rooms are enough spacious. One can enjoy the view of the river torsha from the hostel room. Coming to the library part, library has every type of academic facilities present. Wi-Fi is also available there.
Faculty: Teachers here are very educated. Many of them were ex professors from NITs. Though the teaching quality is not enough to mark the students presence. Coming to the course part, there are 4 internal exams and 2 Practical assessment that keep the students engaged. Getting the passing marks is quite easy for most of the cases in theory exams but in some cases questions are set to be very difficult.

Solid education with good placements, but the curriculum needs more industry focus.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students in CSE at Cooch Behar Government Engineering College are placed. The highest package is ₹10 LPA, the lowest is ₹3 LPA, and the average is ₹4-5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. About 30-40% secure internships, mainly in IT firms. Top roles include Software Developer and Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: Cooch Behar Government Engineering College offers decent Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, and spacious classrooms. The library has a good collection. Hostels are clean with basic amenities. Mess food is hygienic but simple. Medical facilities are basic, and sports options are available.
Faculty: Teachers at Cooch Behar Government Engineering College are generally helpful and qualified, providing good teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant but could use more industry integration. Exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of about 80-90% if students study consistently.
Other: I chose this course because of my passion for technology. The best aspects include a solid curriculum and supportive faculty. Improvements are needed in industry exposure and project work. CGEC has vibrant events, a friendly campus crowd, good scholarship options, and active extracurriculars.
