Dr. D. Y. Patil Prathishthan's, D. Y. Patil College of Engineering, was established in 1984 in Pimpri and later shifted to Akurdi complex in 2001, which is in the vicinity of Pimpri Chinchwad Industrial area, one of the biggest Industrial belts in Asia. The college spreads over 10 acres of land with seven Engineering disciplines. This Institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Eligibility : Candidate must have completed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology in relevant stream with minimum 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent.

The campus has well ventilated, spacious classrooms, seminar rooms, laboratories, library, administrative block and conference hall. The campus provides the in-house Xeroxing facility, bank, student's consumer Co-operative Society, cafeteria, etc. The central computer center has structured networking and server with an adequate number of terminals. The institute has 24-hour leased line facility for all the students and staff. Separate hostel accommodation is available for the boys and girls in close vicinity of the college. Rooms are well furnished. 24 hours medical facilities are available at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital in a vicinity of the campus

DY Patil College of Engineering is good choice Placement is not guaranteed but there are enough chances to get placed. Around 60% students get placed. The lowest package is around INR 2.5Lacs and the highest goes to INR 7 Lacs. Companies like Capgemini, Infosys, tech Mahindra and many leading companies come for campus. Infrastructure of college is also good.
