Since Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE) mostly accepts students through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) you can enroll in a B.Tech programme there without taking the JEE Main. The primary admission exam for DMCE engineering seats, particularly for Maharashtra state quota applicants is the MHT-CET. If non-Maharashtra candidates decide to apply through the All India quota, they can still gain from their JEE Main results. However DMCE also sets aside a certain number of seats under Management Quota, where admission is feasible without taking the MHT-CET or JEE Main as long as the applicant satisfies the minimum requirements for eligibility, which are usually a strong 10+2 score in pertinent disciplines.

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) which is required for Maharashtra state students, is the main entrance test approved for admission to Datta Meghe College of Engineering (DMCE) for B.Tech programs. Under the state quota which accounts for the majority of seats, MHT-CET results are the primary need for obtaining a seat.Additionally, for students applying through the All India quota—which includes applicants from outside Maharashtra DMCE recognizes JEE Main scores. A solid academic foundation in 10+2 Science subjects is necessary for direct admission through the Management Quota, which provides an alternative to MHT-CET or JEE Main. These many routes preserve the merit-based admissions process while allowing for flexibility.
