Candidate must have passed 10+2 Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry(PCM) as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh, along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled from academic year 2000-2002 onwards, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh. Candidate must have scored minimum mentioned marks in the subjects specified (PCM) taken together at 10+2 pattern. (40% marks for candidates belongs reserved Category in the subjects specified (PCM) taken together at 10+2 pattern). Appearing candidates for the final year of Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with same above subjects, are also eligible.

This college has everything for a student to excel in academics.

Placements: The placement is nearly 60% with packages ranging from 5 to 25 LPA. Companies like amazon, QUALCOMM, etc. come for recruitment. About 40% students get internship. Roles like engineers developer, etc. There are multiple roles on offer for academically and industry excelled students.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very basic nothing special. It is a politically owned college so it has a huge ground and facilities like library, labs and sports as well. It does not have a canteen but ample restaurants are there nearby. Metro is near too. No hostel service.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified with Ph.D. and help through the way. The curriculum is set by Osmania University and it makes the students ready to face the industry. The exams are pretty difficult and lengthy which makes us even more prepared for the industry.

Other: I chose this course because of my passion in computers and the ever growing industry of computers. One thing I would wish is to give practical based task and training from early on rather than final year. There is no fest but has events and scholarship through the government of Telangana.

It is a good college for academics.

Placements: Our college offers a good number of placements. The top recruiting companies are IBM, Microsoft, and other IT companies. Placements are offered based on your merit and other activities throughout your final year. There are a few about 5 to 7% of the students get placed.

Infrastructure: Computer labs are well organised and arranged properly. Other labs are also properly managed and the faculty members take the subjects well. The campus provides access to Wi-Fi only to staff. There is a Library where students can take books.

Faculty: It is quite difficult to get the grades however it depends on the work you do and the material you are provided to study. The college is affiliated with Osmania University, and the syllabus is relevant and is set accordingly. It has subjects that teach about the industry.

Review of Deccan College of Engineering and Technology.

Placements: Few companies come to our college, and around one or two students get placement. Last time, Microsoft visited, but they didn't select any student. In Telangana state, there is an organisation named TASK, they also visited this year, and they are providing few courses of Java, Oracle etc.

Infrastructure: Our college's infrastructure is not that good like other colleges in India. Hardly, there are three to four buildings. One block is for engineering, and another is for pharmacy. The other is for architecture. One block is for Etemaad Publishers, and there is also a small ground available.

Faculty: Deccan's faculty are good when compared to other colleges in Hyderabad. The lecturers give proper notes for every subject. They are good when compared to other colleges faculty. The computer labs are good, and they have various courses like B.E, M.E, pharmacy, architecture, MBA etc.

This college is neither bad nor good. It is just average.

Placements: According to the placement, the college is not that good, small companies come to the campus drive and that too very fewer students are placed for attending those interviews. In this college, the quality of the companies that come for the interviews is not up to the mark. The scope for the placements is less in this college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, very much spacious, but the rooms are not maintained properly. It looks like a normal college from inside. The labs are very good and equipped with the latest equipment. There is no campus Wi-Fi, which is a problem, and the college has a ground, but there are no extracurricular activities.

Faculty: The faculty members are good, and they are caring and always seem to help us whenever we are in problem. The faculty is very highly qualified in this college. The quality of the teaching is not that good even though they are highly qualified. Deeply dissatisfied by the faculty members on that matter.

Disappointed with the biased faculty, and this college lacks in the extra activities and placements.

Placements: The placements are relatively poor in this college. If you are looking for the placement, then don't join Deccan College of Engineering. They create an illusion of placing the students. They bring the small companies, which act themselves like Google. The placement in charge faculty is an illiterate guy as he just conducts the seminars and workshops and makes the students happy.

Infrastructure: This college is well-equipped with good labs and has the decent classrooms. There is no canteen and sports in this college. DCET doesn't have a proper seminar hall and an auditorium in it. The bathrooms are not properly maintained up to the mark. A small ground is available on the premises, but no activities are allowed in it.

Faculty: The faculty members in DCET are good and well-qualified, but most of the faculty members are biased towards the toppers. They don't motivate the students, who don't have the good grades. They tell you to learn things write it, read it but never tell you how to learn it by understanding. The faculty members expect the students to learn naturally. The faculty need to be broad-minded if a boy and girl talk in the college premises you're just being prohibited from communicating with the opposite gender. There is no industry exposure except for ECE. This college doesn't believe in any events, fests, and the extracurricular activities.

Can I take direct admission in B.Tech CSE through lateral entry?

Yes, you can take lateral entries in Deccan College of Engineering and Technology. You should apply here and wait for the results. The lateral entry seats are limited and it depends upon the college, what minimum criteria it has prescribed.
