B.E. in Information Technology - Batch of 2027

College with very poor infrastructure and unattractive campus.
Placements: Well, I am currently in my 2nd year, and I inquired about placements from our seniors. They told me that for the past few years, the placement cell isn't that active, and only very few students who don't have backlogs get placed with a maximum of 2-3 LPA. If you have good skills and no backlogs, then there is a chance that you can get placed. The amount will be based on your skills.
Infrastructure: There is no canteen available, no sports or extracurricular activities, and the campus isn't attractive. It's just buildings with no ground for sports. The classrooms are very old with weak benches, and the washrooms are very dirty. The library is also not up to the mark.
Faculty: The faculty is average. The whole curriculum is affiliated with OU, which is quite tough and isn't autonomous. The pass percentage of the college is declining, and the college is least bothered about building the career for students. There are no workshops or seminar sessions to improve skills.
Other: There are no fests or events. It's just come, study, and leave. That's it.

Why you shouldn't opt for Deccan college, Nampally!
Placements: The placements are really poor and I don't think recently any student got placed in any sector. First of all, very few companies approached our college to give any sort of role to a student; it has been 3 years and I don't see many internship opportunities as well .
Infrastructure: Labs are of no use most of the time, and you're not allowed in the lab during college hours, which is not a good rule. The classrooms are really bad, the fans and lights won't work properly, and the benches are broken. Thank God I am a convent student because I would never want to pay for and study at such a college where the infrastructure is so bad.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified but not as great as we would expect them to be, obviously since their job is to make us learn. I don't find that quality of teaching in this college. In the beginning, we had great teachers with excellent teaching skills but now it's really bad.
Other: No extra-curricular activities at all.

I am satisfied with this college, and the placements at this price.
Placements: Minimum 60-70% of pass-out students get placements. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA, and the minimum salary package offered is 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, etc. Around 45-65% of students get internships from this college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent, and the laboratories are also excellent. Every book is available in the library and neatness is their first priority. The cleanliness is maintained here. The hostel facility is not provided in this college.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent, and their method of explaining the concept is unique. The best they always act as our friends not like teachers they always clarify doubts they are heroes. Exams are moderate, and the pass percentage is 73%.
Other: I opted for this course, because of my interest in it. I boosted my interest by taking this course. Not every event only annually events once a year, and there is much campus crowd, but they all are well mannered so they walk silently and in a proper way.

A good college for the students who are interested only in studies but not in any other activities.
Placements: A few years ago, there was no scope of placements in the college. But, this has been changed in the recent years. Many students were selected on the campus through interviews as well as walk-ins, in the last two years. The placements are offered only in the IT field. If you are interested in pursuing IT or CSE course, you can have a chance of getting placed in Infosys or any other company. There is also a chance to get placed in a company through TASK (Telangana Academy for Skills and Knowledge), which is a government-aided programme running in the college. In this, the students are groomed to face the interviews, develop their confidence and are sent to various companies for walk-ins. The internships can be done only through TASK. There is a placement cell in the college, but it is not much efficient. The things are getting better day by day, and we expect many companies to visit the college in the coming years.
Infrastructure: The academic block allotted for the first-year students is great and it is well-ventilated. The classrooms are spacious. Labs are clean, spacious, and the equipment is good. The computer labs can accomodate all the students present in a class. Labs in this block are one of the biggest labs in any engineering colleges in Hyderabad. There is no Wi-Fi facility for students in the first year block. From the second year, students shift to another block. The second-year block is an old building which isn't renovated for ages. Though the classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated, they are shabby. There is a lack of equipment in the electrical and instrumental labs. Only the computer labs are neat and can accomodate many students. Students can get Wi-Fi facility only in the computer labs. There is no hostel and canteen on the campus. But, you can get some good food outside the campus as there are many hotels around. The college doesn't provide bus facility, but the college has good connectivity to the city through RTC buses. Though there is a huge ground, sports are not encouraged on the campus, which is the main drawback of the college. There is no much greenery on the campus.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are good and talented. They are well-qualified. It is one of the most strict colleges in the city. The attendance of students is calculated genuinely. Classes are conducted according to the schedule, and there is no compromise in the timetable. The faculty members are very punctual in completing the syllabus, and also all the lab sessions are conducted accordingly. The course curriculum is prescribed by Osmania University and is upgraded over time. The currently prescribed syllabus has a 3-week induction programme for the new students, in which the students are sent for field visits and hospitals to get interested in their studies. The fee structure in the college is Rs. 60,000. The minority students who are economically backward, are eligible for the scholarship offered by the government of Telangana.
Other: No event or extracurricular activities are organised in the college. The college is located in a busy area and is well-connected to the city. The main thing to be noticed is, the college and headquarters of AIMIM Party reside on the same campus. The college is owned by Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi. Thus, you will not find any Hindu student taking admission in the college. The students of every religion are welcomed in the college, but due to political reasons, students from other religions hesitate to take admission here.
