Review of Devineni Venkata Ramana and Dr. Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology.
Placements: Year by year, placements are increasing, and the highest placements are in the year 2022, which is about 700 placements. If you try hard enough, you will get a placement in any of the companies. The highest package is 10 LPA and the average package is around 4 LPA, so 4 LPA is fine for a fresher to learn more and improve in coding. We are offered top MNC companies like IBM, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, and so many more. We get well-paying and good companies like Infor, Colruyt, Nala Robotics, and many more with high packages. We should complete internships either provided by the college or from outside to reduce the burden. Our college is providing internships that are conducted by APSSDC, so as of our batch, we received internships on IoT and embedded systems, and some are taking internships in companies like Colruyt, Wipro, and many others.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad. Classrooms are clean and well maintained. In the hostel, the Wi-Fi is good and it comes with high speed. Labs are good, but sometimes the systems fail, and some of them won't work. Proper care should be taken while handling the equipment. The library is all good. It's huge. It has a digital library section as well, in which we can browse the courses online and we have a lot of books and newspapers from different publications. We can get any type of book, not only for the subject. Books for higher education are also available. If you ever need anything useful, visit the library first. The quality of food in the mess is not so good. The taste is not that good. We can have some, but compared to other college foods, it's way better to eat. The medical room is also available in case of any health issues. One can take a rest as well.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and supportive. They sometimes punish you if they find you arrogant. The faculty here are qualified, and some are knowledgeable in their respective fields. Some will teach us the basics of functionality so we can learn, and some will teach us about life and how to succeed in a career, which is also useful and helpful to know the other side of studies. As an autonomous college, this college has some rules and regulations, and they design or prepare the syllabus accordingly. With this, we can get industry-ready. Semester exams here are quite difficult, but we can pass if we study with a strategy. We can score good marks as well if we listen and memorise the concepts. The pass percentage here is around 75% to 87%.
Other: I didn't have proper guidance while joining B.Tech. I insisted on joining electronics and communications to know how the work is done and what the modes of communication are, and it's very interesting if we learn all the concepts. I wish the lessons learned here were implemented practically. Events and fests are so good, but the space is not sufficient for the whole college, only for a branch. The auditorium is sufficient. It's somewhat disappointing in that view.
