A roller coaster Journey of 4 years in DHSK college, surrounded with the best people.
Placements: As it is a government college, the highest package is 7,860 only. In our department there are 45 students. The college offers less placement but it's faculty is good. Students only have to pay departmental feels I. e. 1000 and a examination fees of 2500 and no other extra feels is required .
Infrastructure: As I don't stay in hostel so I don't know about it. But the college infrastructure is good. It doesn't provide Wi-Fi to the students but to the teachers. It has smart boards in each and every class. There are many books in the library. Students can borrow book anytime with a longer period.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers are best, they help a lot to the students. The semester exam in the college is quite hard but this is for the betterment of the students and for our better future. Teachers do help a lot so it is not very difficult.
Other: I chose this course because economics is a great subject, we can learn about the economics system of our country. Each and every festivals are celebrated in our college. We have so many games like cricket, kabaddi, football, tug of war etc.
It's a roller coaster journey for me.

Our college has good infrastructure.
Placements: Our college doesn't provide good placements. They conduct some workshops.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities. Classrooms are good. The library is spacious well-organised. It has a digital record of every student's entry and exit. They have recently adopted a new LMS technology for attendance, which is an improvement over the old register system. The canteen is a large space. The food served in the canteen is good and affordable.
Faculty: Our teachers are good and well-qualified. They have many years of experience. They have gained a lot of experience in their work tenure. They teach very well. The course curriculum and the exam schedule are from Dibrugarh University.
Other: I opted for this course because it provides many opportunities. Economics has a great potential for growth and career prospects. The college organises freshers and farewell parties, and departmental and general events for the seniors. Various fests and events take place from time to time in the college. College week and sports week are two events that happen every year. They host many programs, rallies, and other activities. They are improving the facilities.

Mixed vibe of college diaries.
Placements: 50 students on admission were placed in our course. We didn't attend any campus placements at that time. Our course offered a good and different feature for students. We got admission into various universities in Assam. Some of us go through preparation for competitive exams.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are average for the entire college. The department has a good classroom with smart facilities. It's quite big and sufficient for 50–70 students. The department has no extra library. The department has no extra lab facilities. Medical facilities need to be upgraded. The canteens are quite good. They provide good food. Some sports and games are also good at our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their teaching skills are very good and understanding. This curriculum needs to be upgraded. Something is missing in this curriculum. Semester exams are quite difficult at this college. The pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I chose this course randomly. I learned about this course from various sources. This course is not good or bad but it is average. Events or festivals need to be upgraded on the college campus. The college authority should be responsible for every single situation in an event. The events and festivals are not well organized by the student union and administration.

It? is one of the best colleges in Assam.
Placements: Every year, 40 to 60% of students get placed in various fields. The placements in our college are quite good. They need to improve to contact companies. It's good for the college also because 30% of the students are placed on campus and all the remaining are placed by direct companies. On-campus placed students get the highest packages at 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college has all the necessary requirements that a student needs. It has a wide area that consists of labs, a library, and a playground that consists of shuttle courts, etc. The classroom environment is very nice too. Our college has all the necessary infrastructure facilities and equipment, like classrooms, laboratories, and libraries. Our college space is clean and it is totally maintained with new recipients.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are very helpful and qualified. Their way of teaching is good, and they are always available if you need any help or want to share something. Exams are not very difficult, and they are pretty good compared to education. Teachers also teach us in detail, so that's not an issue.
Other: The college has the best campus. There is a hostel on campus, as well as workshops and various clubs.

The college has good teaching quality and infrastructure.
Placements: Since it is a government-run general undergraduate college, there is no scope for any placements. Departments such as BCA and computer science have a large scope for placements.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in our college are good. There are well-maintained hostels for both boys and girls along with an integrated mess system which is included along with the hostel fee. The food given is quite good. Students love it. There is a warden in both the girls' and boys' hostel. There is also a canteen where the students could go any time they want. The supervision of the students in hostel is very strict. Students are given a fixed time to enter and leave the college grounds and the hostel. Eventually, the hostel provides every kind of beneficiary activity in the field of sports and games and gives the students the necessary training and facilities.
Faculty: The teaching quality of the faculty members is very good in the college. Teachers are experienced in their fields. The faculty members of my course especially sociology are very good. Although being a self-financed department the teachers put their 100% effort. Sociology is a very wide discipline with a very vast scope. It helps students in dealing with real-life societal problems in the coming future. The semester exams are held under Dibrugarh University every six months. The exams are quite tough although the college has maintained a good pass percentage every year.
Other: The college has many extracurricular activities held almost every month. Campus life is very refreshing and memorable.

D. H. S. K College: A Cursory View.
Placements: Since it is an undergraduate course in English, many students have subsequently pursued postgraduate courses from universities nationwide. As far as job offers are considered, several students have opted for internships in fields like content creation and freelancing, while also continuing their studies. The course as such has been quite helpful in the sense that the theoretical and critical approaches offered have helped students to crack entrances like CUET-PG for further studies.
Infrastructure: Two spacious classrooms (with maximum capacities of 100 and 50 students respectively) are allocated for undergraduate students pursuing English literature. Labs are present for courses with practical components. The library is well-equipped with several facilities. A big collection of books is available alongside a reading room where students can study. The college provides for several newspapers and subscription-based magazines which can be accessed in the reading room. Since I did not stay in the hostel, I am not privy to its facilities at length. A medical professional is present on the campus for immediate checkups and first aid. Two open-air courts are present for badminton and a big field lies at the back of the buildings where sports like cricket are occasionally played. The canteen offers an array of items at a reasonable price, although the taste of all the items has not been consistent. A bookstore is available on the campus where students can purchase books at a discounted rate. Two auditoriums are present for academic as well as cultural activities.
Faculty: The faculty is quite knowledgeable and has aided in a critically sound understanding of the prescribed literary text. The curriculum is relevant as the same is frequently updated. The semester exams are moderately difficult. However, the evaluation process should be accompanied by constructive criticism. Students who understand the concepts and reflect the same in their answers score fairly well.
Other: The course proves to be superlative in the sense that it trends towards critical examinations of the world at large and encourages probing into hegemonic structures. The college conducts annual college fests, and occasional talks and conferences. Located in KC Gogoi Path, the college is well-connected. However, during peak hours, tedious traffic jams ensure.
