Admission to MSc (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Microbiology) programmes is done based on the entrance exam (50% weightage) and marks obtained in the qualifying examination (50% weightage) whereas admission to the MSc (Biotechnology) course is done based on the entrance test and interview marks. Admission to the remaining MSc programmes is done based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination only. Candidate should have completed Graduate/Bachelors degree (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) or equivalent in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Mathematics / other relevant stream from a recognised university to be eligible.

Admission notification to academic programmes at Directorate of Distance Education Alagappa University is normally notified in the month of March/April every year in the University website, Department Notice Boards as well as through Newspapers. Candidates can apply by online process through University website only. The time period of intimation will vary for each academic year and it is solely done by the University. Provisionally selected candidates will be intimated by email and also made available in candidate login. All selections are provision only, until fulfillment of all eligibility and other requirements. On receipt of admission intimation, candidates shall join the programme with submission of their original certificates.
