Hi Piyush,
Let me tell you that the basic eligibility criteria for BE / B.Tech in Automobile Engineering is 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Bio-technology, bioinformatics, Biomedical with a fairly high percentage of marks in the aggregate.
However, After 10th one can also choose the diploma program in Automobile Engineering and after the diploma they can take up PG diploma, or even an Engineering degree as some colleges give admission to diploma holders with 50% marks. In certain engineering colleges, mechanical engineering students can opt for Automobile engineering as an optional subject.

Hi Saksham,
The official website of the college is silent about the scholarship. It is advisable to get in touch with the college officials for detailed information on the same.

DY Patil School of Engineering, Lohegaon has a lovely campus and helpful faculty members on the plus side. On the negative side, it is located in a remote area and is new and there is a certain amount of uncertainty about placements. One can expect them to be comparable to other reputed D Y Patil campuses but one never be sure.
The faculty members were very cooperative but relatively inexperienced (well it could be understood as the college is a newbie). They encouraged participation in various competitions. But the worst thing, Admin department, with its poor co-ordination between colleagues, there were frequent clashes related to fees, exam forms, scholarships, etc. Education quality is mediocre. Placements, to be frank, the first batch did not have any formal placement drive but most of them are now into some job or the other. Bottom line, if you are thinking of joining this college, get ready to enjoy school again.
