Applicants to the MBA course offered by Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Management in Pune are required to meet the specified academic and entrance test requirements. The institute has framed its admission policy whereby applicants should have had: Qualification: A bachelor's degree from any recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories from Maharashtra).- Entrance Test: Valid score in MAH MBA/MMS-CET or other accepted entrance tests like CAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, MAT, or GMAT. Your MBA CET score of 49% is below the usual cut-off percentiles for entry into the best MBA colleges in Maharashtra. For example, some of the top colleges, like JBIMS in Mumbai, have a cut-off in the range of 99.5 to 99.99 percentiles.Though the cut-offs may vary for Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Management, a 49% MBA CET score will always be on the lower side while going as per the CAP rounds procedure to gain admission. Apart from that, academic eligibility also has to meet its minimum cutoff. For precaution,1. Check if undergraduate degrees meet a minimum percentage requirement to live up to institute standards.2. Contact the Admissions Office: Call Dr. D.Y. Patil School of Management and ask for their cut-off scores; whether they can get a student in the institute using the MBA CET score or not.3. Alternatives: Find other management institutes with lower cut-offs or take the entrance again to enhance your score for the next cycle. With this, you are put in a position of qualifying to potentially think of an option in the pursuit of an MBA.

For admission to pursue an MBA in the Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Management situated in Pune, students have to score high in the MAT. The cut-offs keep changing yearly depending on various factors such as the number of applicants or the overall performance of the applicants. It is likely that scoring anywhere around 600-700 in MAT would be considered a safe score for entry into the school. That is why the school allows applicants to present MAT scores as part of the criteria for admission, which is the reason why higher percentiles significantly increase the chances of getting into the school. Some would thus advise prospective students to aim above the common range to improve their chances in a competitive setup.
