University of Delhi and its era.
Placements: This year, 40% of the total students were placed in my course. Not sure about placement packages, but as far as I have searched, the packages range from 6 lakh to 20 lakh per annum.
Our course offers many roles, like one can go into politics, be a civil servant, or be an archaeologist.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is a little bit old, as almost all the colleges of the University of Delhi are made in the late 90s.
But it gets comfortable within some time.
Some things need to be upgraded, like furniture, air conditioners in classrooms, water pumps, etc.
Libraries are fully air-conditioned and have free Wi-Fi.
Our college doesn't offer any hostel facilities for students.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified, have great knowledge of their course, and have great experience too.
Courses like history ( Hons.) are very important for students because with these courses, only students get to know about their history, their past, and their ancestors.
Exams are a bit different because we have to write 500-600 words’ answers, but it gets into practice.

My diaries with the University of Delhi.
Placements: This year, almost 150-200 students were admitted to my course. The average package offered in our college is between 10-15 lakhs. On average, 80% of students get placements from our course in large companies like Tata Steel, Adani, Reliance, etc. Roles offered in our course can be in teaching, research, philosophy, or civil services.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is a little bit old, as all the buildings of the University of Delhi are from the 19th century, but it doesn't create much of a problem for students in winters and moderate temperatures. It becomes problematic in the summer, as there is no AC in classrooms, and Delhi gets very hot during this season, making it difficult for students to sit in classes.
Faculty: The faculty of our course is very helpful, responsive towards students, and active in college work. In our course, we take six exams in three years, and we have to qualify for all exams for graduation. The syllabus gets difficult for students at first, but as they start reading, they begin to enjoy it.
Other: I think everyone should study history and our past to understand how everything is made and how human evolution has progressed from apes to Homo sapiens.

Wizard place for civil services students .
Placements: I am from the 2022-2025 batch of history hons. In my course, most students get internships if they are excellent in their studies during their graduation. And there students get many opportunities to visit historic places and group activities like.
Infrastructure: In my college, there is a library, with one Lacs plus books and one Lacs e-books along with Wi-Fi, AC and separate rooms for newspaper reading facilities. On the college campus students get basic medical facilities also. And in college, there are sports facilities also available like kabaddi, boxing, athletics, archery, badminton etc.
Faculty: In the college history department faculty is very cooperative. The exams of the semester are quite easy if students focus on their studies. And all the teachers are very cooperative, they help with studies and provide notes also. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holder.
Other: I am from history hons. So, my course is quite decent if a student is interested in history then he/ she will like it. College campus and crowds are also decent and the department fest takes place in every year there was too much fun in the fest.

College Needs to Be Renovated.
Placements: I don't know much about placements. There are more than 40 students in my course, and there is a placement cell in our college. Maybe a smaller number of students get the opportunity for internships. I hope this will change soon. There are better placements in computer science honors.
Infrastructure: There is no AC, but there are neat classrooms and labs. In the summer, the facility of AC should be provided. The water cooler needs to be cleaned every month because the taste of the water is not good, which may cause disease in students. The sports facility is good, and teachers are also supportive.
Faculty: Average faculty. Teachers are helpful and qualified. Semester exams are neither too easy nor too difficult. Some teachers criticize students for taking leave on Ram Navami but promote Eid ul Fitr celebrations, which is unfair.
Other: The canteen could be better, and the ground too. They didn't invite any artists to the college festival. The timetable should be changed for my course as we have to come to college early in the in the morning and we don't have classes for the next 2 or 3 hours.

The placements are not very satisfactory.
Placements: B.A. owners history is a theory course, so there is no 100% placement here in this course. Only 20 to 30% of students are placed in the core domain field of history, like historians or researchers. Apart from this, companies like Leveraged Edu and Udemy hire from here. The average package is nearly 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent here, like all the facilities are available. We have a huge playground, and volleyball courts and basketball courts are also there. JLN is the nearest metro station. And Sundar Nursery is also within walking distance. For food options, we have a canteen with limited options, but nearby areas are Lodhi Colony, so that is nice.
Faculty: The teachers are pretty well here in terms of knowledge and understanding. Some of them are very interactive and helpful, but some are not even interested in teaching. For semester exams, they are moderately tough. If one studies well, they will be able to pass.

Yes, the college is good and the teachers are also good. You can pursue History Hons from here because the college is good. Only thing is that infrastructure is not so nice.

Dyal singh college has good ranking and facilities than shivajii college . Dyal singh college is ranked 8th all over india by NIRF in 2017. It's a renowned college .land area is also large.
