It wouldn't matter if you apply as general candidate. But you will need to score atleast 95% + in order to get a good college. Also nothing else matters much than your academics.

There is no specialisation as such. One can take electives as per choice and become a specialist in that field.

There is no chance to get into IIMs or FMS. You need to score minimum of 92% and more in CAT examination.

Once you get a score based shortlist from FMS, then there will be three rounds. Group Discussion, Extempore followed by Personal Interview. Cumulative scores of all these rounds along with CAT score will determine the seat.

There is no particular slab of packages mentioned anywhere, as per the level of education you pursue. It is a wrong expectations with the students in India that the more the education level is, the more package will be offered to that candidate. But it's all myth. Education is meant to increase your knowledge & teach you about different subjects. Later you specialize in a particular subject as per your interest level so that you can pursue your career accordingly into that specific domain. Cracking an interview in a top notch company which gives you an attractive package depends on the requirement of the company, your eligibility as per the requirement of the company & the most important part is how you handle & crack the interview by proving yourself to be the best out of all options for the profile you applied for in that company. So for this you have to keep your knowledge at the tip of your tongue with full of confidence while you give interview & prove to be the best. Hope this answer helps you. All the best.
