It is the best college to join and is very much disciplined.
Placements: GVPCE has a proven track record in placements. Our graduates are attracting good number of organisations, both from IT sector and Core sectors. Some of the organisations visited our campus including L&T, Tata Elxsi, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, VNC, Kenexa, Yahoo! And the list goes on. Also, the feedback from these reputed organisations about the quality work of the students recruited from our institution encourages our faculty and management to improve the quality of education.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is spread over 21 acres with a total built up area of 33,000 metre square. The college is situated in a beautiful green valley far from the madding crowd. The college has made rapid strides in academic achievements with a good number of gold Medals at the university level in successive years. It is bestowed with good and dedicated faculty from top level institutions in the country. There are scholarships for deserving students. About 30% of the faculty are doctorates and another 30% are working for doctoral degrees. A.I.C.T.E. pay scales are followed for all the faculty cadres. Support for improving qualifications of faculty and research is given. Publications in refereed international and national journals. The students are admitted to reputed institutes within and outside the country. MoUs are signed with industries in India and institutions abroad for keeping academic exchange on the track. Achievements in cultural as well as sports activities at the University and inter-University levels. Some of the sports persons are in national teams. Admission is done mainly through Common Entrance Test of A.P. State Council of Higher Education and partly through college management. Employment for faculty is done through selection at the college on ad hoc basis and JNT University on a regular basis.
Faculty: The faculty is well-experienced. The faculty members are cooperative with students, but students need to cooperate with them too. All the faculty members have completed their M.Tech. A few did MBA and MS. So, there is no problem with the faulty teachings. The teachers are trained before there are admitted to teach. The course is not so easy to complete. There are important chapters to complete and learn so that students can gain more knowledge. Every branch has its own course structure. Exams are conducted to know the skills of the students.
Other: GVP College of Engineering has partnered with the government of Andhra Pradesh and government of Germany (GTZ) in establishing and managing the Indo-German Institute of Advanced Technology, Visakhapatnam since 2005.
