Many GCT Coimbatore alumni have been placed in various leading sectors in India and across the world. Some of the top companies where GCT alumni are employed include: 1. IT and Software: The alumni have found various thrusting industries IT companies such as TCS, Infosys, WIPRO, Cognizant and Accenture. 2. Core Engineering: They have also started placements with the main engineering companies like L&T, BHEL, Siemens and Thermax, in engineering streams including civil, mechanical and electrical. 3. Admissions are normally conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). Candidates will be selected mainly based upon 12th standard marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and also based on counseling sessions based on the TNEA rank.

Yes, you can get admission into the B.E. / B.Tech courses in Government College of Technology (GCT) also if you are not a student of Tamil Nadu; it does not matter where you are from or which country you complete your 12th from as long as the marks that one needs for the eligibility criteria, like the PCM marks.Admission will be based on marks scored in Class 12. The admissions will be under TNEA and the applicants are allowed from outside the state too. The academic credentials will be verified as per the norms of Tamil Nadu state in addition to the Class 12 marks score.
