The Goa Institute of Management (GIM) is a highly regarded business school that offers several advantages over the Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) in Chennai:GIM has stronger accreditations and rankings compared to GLIM. GIM is accredited by AMBA, BGA, AACSB, and is an NBA member, while GLIM does not have the same level of accreditations. In the NIRF rankings, GIM is ranked 33rd for MBA programs, while GLIM is ranked 31st.GIM also offers a wider range of specialised PGDM programs, including PGDM in Big Data Analytics, PGDM in Banking Insurance and Financial Services, and PGDM in Healthcare Management, which are not available at GLIM.In terms of placements, GIM has a stronger track record, with the highest domestic package of 55 LPA and the highest international package of 60 LPA, compared to GLIM's the highest package of 32 LPA. The average CTC at GIM is also higher at 14.87 LPA versus 14.50 LPA at GLIM.GIM's 50-acre campus is larger and more scenic compared to GLIM's 32-acre campus, providing a more immersive learning environment for students. While both institutes are well-regarded, the stronger accreditations, wider programme offerings, better placements, and larger campus make GIM the better choice for an MBA compared to GLIM.
