Government College of Engineering (GCOEA), Amravati, is an autonomous institute and is affiliated with Amravati University. The College has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
GCOEA offers admission to a total of 15 courses in the stream of engineering at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Besides these, PhD courses are also provided. The admission process for most courses is online and is entrance test-based. The admission process starts after the declaration of the results of the qualifying examinations, such as the MH-CET.
For Undergraduate Courses:
BTech admissions are based on JEE Mains (or MHT CET). The candidate must meet the cut-off scores in the counseling rounds in order to be eligible for admission. To get admission to top branches such as Computer and Science Engineering, the closing rank is usually under 5,000 for the open category.
For postgraduate courses:
The candidates have to obtain a valid score in the GATE entrance examination for admission to MTech. The standard procedure after qualifying entrance tests is for qualified candidates to participate in the admissions counseling process. Firstly, you need to register online, upload scanned documents, and pay the required counseling fee on the official website of the college. You will be required to fill in your choice of colleges and courses in order of preference.
Later, the allotment is done according to the candidate's rank, preference, and availability of a seat.

Hello Anushka Bhatkar, it's pretty late that I am seeing your query. Just for the record, I passed from government Engineering College, Amravati by taking Electrical Engineering branch and so obviously I have a bias. By now you must have taken admission somewhere already. So there is no point in giving my opinion. Just for the record, can you please let me know by way of comment as to where have you taken admission? Thanks. Best wishes to you.

Hi, GCE Amravati offers a four-year B.Tech programme at UG level. Admission to the B.Tech programme is based on the MHT CET result, followed by CAP Counseling, conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, in Mumbai. The cut-off of institutional eligibility is announced following the announcement of the MHT CET 2021 outcome management system. The process of allocating seats is based on college termination and candidate preference for courses and colleges. Is usually announced in two rounds of CAP Counseling based on the closing levels of each B.Tech specialist. Shortcuts are issued to the home country (Maharashtra) and All India, further divided into GOPENS, LOPENS, MI and TFWS categories.
